  1. dark moody hotel-ish bathrooms, nice ! everything looks to be shaping up nicely. I like the lights at pomelo home, are they out of this world expensive?
  2. Some boring updates. After calling the extremely helpful uncle at mega discount store kallang numerous times to check on pricing after my initial visit, I finally called him again today and placed an order as he mentioned the oven I want, he only has last 2 sets at the discounted rate. Dont know how true, could be sales pitch to get me to finalize my order after so many months but anyway I already planned on buying from him after his patience all these months. So we finally placed our order for the Brandt stove hob, oven and dishwasher that we want. 3. hey ugene, does your flat have an air con ledge as i have been told we are not allowed to have 2 compressors if no air con ledge?
  4. congrats on the reno progress as for wedding dinner, can try asking at http://porcelainhotel.com/, it's a new boutique hotel and i dont know if they even have space for functions or even somewhere like the chinese restaurants at pan pac - hai tien lo, orchard parade hotel - tung lok classics. oh if you're going for a 'western style dinner', you could always approach one of the new in restaurants and ask them how they can help you.
  5. TOTOTOOOOOOOOOO, hahahaha congrats kobe. can you pm me about the discount and shop, i'm prolly going to get them too if we can find a suitable one when the time comes.
  6. nice light, looks like a pain to clean though, how much did it cost you?
  7. GM of partnering firm looks like a good potential match, hahaha okay i totally know you are joking but i couldnt resist the urge to tease. sorry to hear about your external water seepage problems, but any problem is always easily solved by super donny just a short phone call away your son bought a sword home? hmmmm, dont know if such items are allowed for sale/ purchase legally in SG though.
  8. looks gorg, if no one knows, call them up and ask them, hahahah. did you faint from the prices of the modular kitchens?
  9. lol i love the geeky stickers and cushions and nice animation for your wardrobe. congrats on moving in
  10. mae da jie, you are so busy! I miss your photo updates do enjoy and take care of yourself, dont work too hard!
  11. lol, nice thought and kind gesture but do rich men really need to come into RT? thought RT is for people who want to get the best deal for their $$$ on reno maybe need to put the photo on some luxe car or watch forum
  12. hey guys, hope everything is going well for the both of you!
  13. welcome to t-blog, you are very good at floorplanner. the place i am currently staying in is a 3room, 82sqm. we have an open concept kitchen that is horizontal to our living room (while yours is vertical to your living rm) to let in light and for better air circulation, about 2 years ago we installed a LG non-inverter air con in the living and master bedroom. So far it takes longer to cool down the living/ kitchen and we turn it on at 18deg while we use 24 deg for the MBR but once the living room is cool, it is fine - nice and cool. However, do note that we dont turn on the aircon in the living room except when we really cannot take the heat so if you're going to be turning it on often then the doors will definitely help alot. HTHs
  14. your place looks jaw-droppingly AWESOME!!!!! i cannot wait to go visit now! wow, simply, wow ely.
  15. i guess boy blunder must be lucky to have a wife who doesnt buy buy buy and sign sign sign so he can say such blasphemy since he is the one doing it instead!
  16. i am going to consider either a glassed in or an open concept bathroom remember? so i need the lux ad that turns into a catwalk demo!!!! jahahahah i can haz an ely demo
  17. i think alot of us city people dont see fireflies unless we love to go camping often la. i didnt turn it on long enough to notice if they followed a pattern or were random, paiseh as for your recommendations, i really really really appreciate your sharing with me but really la, CANNOT TAHAN the prices. hahaha still much to you for your generous sharing of all things beautiful but exorbitant.
  18. magic - j looks nice enough la but no storage so no can do. Hafele's tavoflex looks expensive and i am not convinced it is necessary especially since i dont think bo concept uses it and certainly not the one at xclusive. that bishan reno is **** nice, but yet from my standpoint only good for people without children or without boisterous boys like mine - we're trying to pre-empt everything and anything that can go wrong with them in the house, hah! i didnt notice the fully glassed in toilet till joyous mentioned it - i like! lol
  19. i like your wardrobe doors and happy for you on the progress of your reno, please try not to stress out and be depress about it as best as you can. i totally get how it doesnt help with your parents being in the picture as well and i finally see what you mean by the odd layout of your MBR bathroom, that day when we went , i was clueless as to what you were referring to
  20. yeah smell is definitely not the issue. it's more oil splattering everywhere, even though we dont even deep dry. Our family is rather particular that we do not like to walk on floors that have oil splatter as we then track it to other parts of the house. Even covering with newspaper and using a hood doesn't help with this issue as one cannot control how far the oil can splatter even with simple stir fry. so now we are opting for a closed kitchen since it is well ventilated and the rest of the flat is big enough to accommodate without needing it to be open concept
  21. I like your mood board Really appreciate your offer. i already have 2 places in mind to look at when the time is closer yet still during GSS, http://natural-living.com.sg/ and http://www.zentradition.com/ as these were where footprint bought her stuff and she has the same theme i am going for. But when you're on your adventures, I'm looking for a coffee table similar to the bo concept one but if i can not find something else similar, i want something that is practical with storage options. Budget , preferably less than $1k and even better if less than $500 but of course i would consider something similarly priced to the bo concept one. We have no problems shopping with the boys as we're fierce, but the issue now is I have no mood to shop around since it is so long away.
  22. adi you think my wallet is like some billionaire china family ah?!? thanks for sharing but please stop showing me all these f***ing expensive brands, i beg you!! i cannot even afford scanteak lah! all my stuff, like yours, have been bought on sale!
  23. if you want to keep drooling over my wiw, i will keep demanding a LUX shower ad enactment! bondi will have to wait till after i get my $$ hun, i will go to your house for housewarming empty handed! hahahaha myself
  24. marshy, it's not a standing/ table lamp. you are talking about the fireflies one right? didnt you see the video, it's for hanging up to mimic real fireflies caught in a jar. dont want then nmind loh, i can save my $ i will try to enjoy it as much as i can, maybe walk naked from the shower to the WIW and dance around? hahahahhaa
  25. thanks for the heads-up i do hate how pedantic they can be about stuff though, wtf is going to be throwing water all over the fan when they are showering or pooing ....
