17/6 - 19/6 Sunday - We met up with our electrician and had a 2.5 hours discussion on site.. and then another 1 hour off site. *I* nearly died considering there was no place to sit and I am allergic to cement dust. The final amount was as expected and still a good price. I think in the MBR, there's about 4x2 empty sockets and *I-lost-count-on-the-network-pts-and-two-way-switches-in-the-whole-house*. As per estimated, the final amount (inclusive of lights) will hit a 5 figure sum. Monday - Monday was a slow day.. Only could see that the tilers were prepping the house for tiling.. Tuesday - We met up with our contractor again............. *Sigh* Big big miscommunication btwn me, him and the tiler. I took this pic before I started explaining the correct tile laying for the kitchen.. The error was there wasn't enough allowance of space for the tiler to put in the subway tile backsplash. The contractor told him it (subway tiles) would be used as a border. The tiler's eyes nearly popped out when my hubs explained that it should be laid in the 工 way. Can see my tiler wanna kill my contractor liao. =X Later that night, my hubs went to take pics again.. The tiler has rectified the tiles to what I wanted and did a great job for the little corners that will have these white tiles exposed.

I didn't like Lush either.. I am okay with replicas but seems over hyped for a replica store.. AIR is really nice... but some designs too modern for my taste.

These are confirm 100% Hdb original. My sellers didn't wanna spend money to renovate.

Actually we are having trouble choosing our laminates. we can't visualize leh! So difficult! Very hard to compare and match with the kitchen floor tile. Super sianz.

Where did u get the tiles? I am not sure of the effect actually. I hope can achieve same look. XD my reno now only at waterproofing stage. So alot of things can't visualize

hi.. its too long ago (prev. house) to remember. we did plain colour.. it was pretty popular back then. but u can't really use abrasive cleaners.. just keep that in mind.

his choice in white.. will be better n sturdier.. esp if u going to have a baby..

Age of the house matters. Plumbing was a big issue for my parents' place. Suddenly everywhere decided to leak. And it's hard to trace coz everything is concealed. Keep a close eye on ur Id/contractor. They might accidentally hit/break smth and not let u know.

My design is very common la. Hard to be unique when everything like have a "designated" place unless u take away here n there to bcome another new thing.

I wish u all the best in your Reno! Landed can be difficult (esp after going thru Reno 2x at my parents place). U might wanna consider landscaping too if you have green patch of land.

Day #4 Met up with contractor again. Trying to tell him all the changes we want done. Can see his eyes glazing over with the info overload. Kekekekeke~ *still not happy with my super over budget kitchen* I want it to be white as snow..... Can?! Or shld I settle for this?! *sigh* kitchen is in 5 digits already. >.<

Day #3 Debri has been cleared. Everything look so empty. Brought my "ID"s (parents) to view the progress. They gave some really good ideas and I requested them to draw for the contractor... As they say a picture can be a thousand words.

Day #2 Everything is hacked!!! Yay! My new kitchen entrance.. Two door glass panels will be installed.. New entrance for the maid's room (utility room).. The other old entrance will be sealed up. What's left is... For the stair rails to be taken down and clearing of the debris.
