these 2 cars have gone thru numerous facelifts since i did the model kits.... have to say the new EVO X looks more menacing than the new WRX.... actually both are just sedan family cars with powerful turbo engines.....power wise...yes, both have plenty...but in the case of styling....both sorely lacking....but more lacking in the new WRX than the EVO X ~ personal biased take..hehe to but looks abit like the old GALANT though. from to anyway, before kits were all cars....they came in these...gotta glue and paint...glue and paint...hehe

This is for PHANTOM, the RX7 (got a veilside edition somemore..hehe) my precioussss WRC cars can see which EVO/WRX side i am biased to right? hehehe yeshh....me an EVO fan...my best buddy is a WRX fan..hehe in fact, nearly wanted to wait and get the EVO X for our ride...but mrs compassvale dun suit that kinda image cos sometimes she drives....too garang and uncouth for her....she wanna 走 refined, cultured kind of 路线..hahaha..think she dun want us to put in so much $$ and end up looking like some old ah beng & lao ah lian

yeah..i had to resize the heart shape small so that it will not be CUT off by the paper puncher hole size....hehe cannot lah..the clear-coated decal paper with the design will be very fragile....cut a normal piece of paper with such a small shape heart already very hard...this decal paper sure tear one.... and most prob cannot get a perfect cut..end up the hearts genna jagged edge...out of proportion cos genna cut some minute edges away..lol.. and brother....how many hearts must i cut ah....paper puncher lah dey!! hehehe wah Phantom.. check this out..so new, Reg date 23-Jan-2007, C&C Agent Warranty http://www.sgcarmart.com/main/info-2fkWdCAX-1000.html

decals definitely.. what i did was to buy sheets of *blank* decals....then print on them with bubblejet...let them dry... then spray Clearcoat on the decal...let them dry again...with hair dryer can hasten the process..hehe then..they are ready to apply as per normal decals i took hole puncher to punch out the hearts....u can still see some slight circles around the hearts....steady right? hehe in this way can custom any decals u want and paste on the kits.. not this brand..but something like this

we not greedy....630 good enough..hehehe but nowadays petrol expensive leh....few months increase a few times..hehe maybe one day must form a consortium go drill for oil ourselves to ensure cheap price..hahaha

wah....we did a couple of NSXs also....will take some pics next time and share with you..hehe includes a RAYBRIG NSX also..hehe mr compassvale likes to do cars involving alot of decalwork...spraying external car body for mrs mrs compassvale likes minimal decalwork...hehe...internal car interior...hehe either way...we 分工合作 get a whole car done yeah...the coolness factor is always there for SLK....nowadays see Renaults/Peugeots with those convertible roofs...somehow the wow factor not as strong as the SLK. mrs compassvale used to like SLK, now prefers Z4/6coupe..hehe u totally right about RWDs, driver satisfaction is really high... the thing about AWD/4WD is that, although the performance/safety factor is very high...somehow it NUMBS the machine/ road /driver bonding between the 3 elements.... that's why ferraris, lambos are predominantly RWDs.... even BMWs are called the Ultimate Driving Machine for a reason, they are RWD sedans...hehe

GAM LAH Phantom....we same key! hehe anyway..this pic is for you still got alot kits we haven't do up yet...will try to find some time to finish them up... that time stock up alot scared go out of production..haha... yeah...PIs got bring in.....but think C&C around 180K or so...hmm... this model very nice...but think it's due for facelift soon also...been around quite a number of years already.. maybe that's why the drop in price slowly..hehe but be careful with short wheelbase RWD cars hor....in theory RWDs are the best for drifting as it's inherent in the drivetrain.. but short-wheelbase RWD may just SNAP and lose the rear end.....happens to MX5s (that's why alot of MX5s in accidents) , SLKs and even S2000s.....u get to the point u *thought* would drift...but it doesn't, and you lose the tail, car switch ends.... but RWDs are very satisfying to drive...hehe

yeah...the CG higher, dun go so fast...esp wet road. me very familiar also...that CTE exit havelock..but there very dangerous.... if the exit car already stop...but u go fast...then while on the left bend see them stopped liao... may be too late....so always must slow down once approaching the left bend to exit.... wah jie....the 2 boxiest car i sat/drove years years back before they were scrapped, were the 240GL and 940turbo, not mine of cos... (pics from net) but I think they were the very definition of BOXY cars last time Porsches ah...always felt that they are the souped up versions of BEETLES leh..u see the silhoutte carefully..really got hints of BEETLE in it one....hehe after the 240/940, i really got phobia of boxy cars liao...hehehe even if SUV next time...must get the most non-boxy looking SUVs.... hmm...porsche cayenne not toooooo boxy though...within tolerance...but no $$$...haha same taste! high-5s.... sports cars = curves curves..hehe

hehe..think the forte of this car is not taking sharp bends...but the sheer power and outright acceleration. it's pretty big and heavy to be nimble enough for windy roads....but still, the advanced all-wheel drive should render it effortless in corners too..hehe Like the centerpiece best.... very neat neat....no need to have those gauges/meters to clutter up the interior. like my fren say, wah liew, put so many end up look like a science lab or powerplant alot of meters to look at....hehe...those ferarris and aston martins where got such things.... we always suan our friends' rides with those cluttery gadgets...hehehe...but no choice wor.....seems like more clutter..the cars go faster wor..haha "The centerpiece of the interior is a multifunction display in the dash that Nissan tells us was developed in conjunction with Polyphony Digital, the same company that developed the Gran Turismo video games for the Sony PlayStation. yeap, first impression is that the whole unit much lighter than the previous one used. yet, more sturdy. probably due to the fact that most of the joints are riveted/screwed, rather than the *insertion* method of the previous one. going compasspoint for dinner, shall window shop at the DIY store !!
