I need to make a vanity bathroom closet with mirror doors. It will hv a 2cm frame due to my pipes n windows. Should I choose Matt or glossy laminates if my bathroom tiles r all Matt???

Yup- we preferred 1st one cos simple n modern. It's a laminate which is textured n matches our cement screed lookalike tiles flooring...

Frankly, I forgot or dun really know hw much per ft cost as I had used them last time so I won't change vendor as I know prices r conpetitive. I like their service n using 8yrs for the blackout roller blinds, I can't complain lah... Do feedback here after u tried their service!

Carpentry from my contractor using a different carpenter...I viewed 1 today which I felt quite ok cos this design should b also at least need some skills to do up? Wat should I look out for in carpentry? I check the trimmings n the finishing...Really not bad leh...

I confirmed my twins Queen size mattress from OM. 1 of them choses the bamboo charcoal which I really like too! For our king size mattress, I go for the lavender range from OM too... We got 3 beds with storage bed frame at a gd price so I am very pleased!

Wardrobe around $1200-$1300 for 5 ft...Got 1 carpenter gave me FOC full height pocket mirror! Actually carpenter said break down is rather useless cos important is price of laminate, finishing n designs.. I saw my shortlisted carpenter workmanship - This design needs skill so I felt carpenter should b ok ba!!! Actually, my previous owner also built the cooking stove in service balcony cos it was approved 13yrs ago...It is now considered illegal cos it's fire hazard...Windy n we hanged clothes there... HDB rules changes so sometimes it juz take an experience agent n hdb officer to tell u n explained the truth. I am the 2nd owner for my current flat 5yrs ago n there is no problem when I bought over as it's approved. The sellers might not really know the illegal items cos it's the contractor who needs to know n applied for necessary approval. Well, maybe the sellers also agreed to go ahead with illegal Reno... 1 more thing I wan to highlight, some illegal items can b easily rectified... Eg, too high platform bed is considered illegal if near window so a hand rail built over it will b considered approved Liao...However, how many agents or contractor actually know hw to resolve this issue??? Frankly, yr issues can be ironed out with HDB help n no need to waste $ on engaging lawyers. If lawyer is involved, then the whole process will drag even more. Buying a hse n finding one u like is a happy affair. Cool down, sit down n discuss with yr agent. They r paid to do the job... Above r my 2cents worth of humble opinions only...

Hi hi, I used the same tiles! It's juz tat mine r from Spain - Slightly glossy sheen compared to yrs! Effect is nice but I dunno abt the dirt cos I juz fell in love wif the 3D feel lor.. Btw, I met Terence b4. He is a nice guy. Got shortlisted by me but price abit steep so I gave up! I think he will do a gd job for u so I am following yr blog...Nice 3Ds...

My contractor is quite funny. He allows me to get quotation direct from carpenter. I found 3 - 2 r intro from frens n 1 from my contractor. Actually their quotation is close but I wanna view workmanship b4 I decide who I engage, then I do up my place for the chosen one b4 I intro lor... So far I got around 16k quote for using special white glossy 1.2mm laminate with internal colored PVC 1. 3meter tv console wif feature wall 2. 6 ft full height shoe cabinet with full mirror doors 3. 2 sets 8ft suspended study table wif drawers 4. 2sets 5ft full height sliding doors wardrobe 7. 17ft top n bottom kitchen cabinets 8. 1tall lader kitchen cabinet 9. 2 sets bathroom vanity cupboard 10. I have a few things which I am quite excited about! Hubby's fren installing CCTV in our living rm! It's FOC!!! Then my roller blind installer - they r still around after 8years! Initially I asked them to dismantle my old blinds b4 my reno started which also installed by them, then wanna do only 2 new sets for the bedroom which doesn't hv n put up the old ones again. Guess wat? The boss asked me to do all new ones n wanna give me special price!!! He said my Reno do until so nice n the roller blinds these days r more varieties n better quality! He even offered me same price for timber blinds...Very tempting! On the other hand, am I being spendthrift? Boss gave me special also cos i intro alot of frens but I nvr asked anything in return. I find roller blinds r so maintenance free n durable...It's still fine after 8years! Ok, will seriously consider cos hubby replied...I dun like timber blinds leh I said white one but he said, black out roller blinds will do...Faintzzzzzzzzzzzz Quite nice mah...

Today is bery boring...The holes cut up for my new lights...I like the placement...Very straight! Can check who knows that is it ceiling guy who cuts the holes or electrician? Contractor said painting will start soon but I wanna paint b4 installing the ceiling lights! Right or wrong huh?
