Uncle Ah Soon is actually a nice chap... but is too busy that he dont have time to attend to every1 efficiently... but once he start work, he is ok lah.... and he got such lobang thats benefit us homeowners... can change door at cheaper, can change tiles, etc.

Im planning for wedding in Mar 2008. koikoi, but then again, some stuffs need u to decide and not ur ID... like do u need electircal switch here and there, do u need telephone/scv switch in other rooms, where u like to hav the aircon switch, any dimmer etc... I thumbs up for my ID, feel that he is responsible and pro-active. He updated me that he has already submitted request for permit, gave me a Project Schedule of the coming reno, from start till end, what are the estimation of progress + when to arrange for goods delivery, aircon installation etc.

I havent even touch a single bit of preparation for my wedding! I think i wil gan jiong after i done my reno... probably no more good dates loh 2mr is P.Holiday, will go back hse to check the defect rectifications. Sat got to meet ID along with elctrician to run thru the electical route, then out to select tiles and choose paint colors. Another hectic day for us. Lotsa decision making agian. Do u gals' ID meet u all on-site with electrcian?

I dunno whether changing of contractor means good or bad news for u... our current contractor maybe looks inefficient but he is easy to negotiate lor.... But i believe Mr Lee should be able to expedite your rectification.

Dun get scared, koikoi. I still do see some Chinese workers ard. I saw some old uncles that time i went over to my opposite unit. That unit was in the midst of doing tiling, and so i believe those uncles are the Tilers. And the contractor for my unit is same with jessi, and guess he is the foreman incharge for our 3 blocks. The rectifications for my unit is not perfect... the tile gap stil irregular, but ok mai-hiam-buay-pai lah. If fussy, then there are some faults to pin point but not major. Thats what i say, please go back to check your unit everyday after they start ur rectification. Like tat if u unhappy with anything, still can revert and redo easily mah.

The raw materials already sitting in her unit loh. So if follow queue, then it should be hers than yours. But then, we yet to mention those whom we dunno in the block. We didnt chase h*b to start rectify our unit, and they drag Three months to start it only Now... so can this give u a gauge on their efficiency? I didn't chase them as we dont intend to start reno till only now mah.... workmanship varies... we went to the unit opposite mine the other time, invited by the h*b contractor of cos... the tiling is badly done... i think it depends on luck a bit, sad to say.

For me, my official move in date is 1st week of july, instructed by FSM. Flat should be handover from ID in June, so we planned to slowly clean and decorate the house before officially move in. Now preparing and finalzing for the renovation starting next week! So exciting... wanna start a blog but dunno how to, or rather scare didnt update it regularly... haa... I didnt observe that. I believe i can only have the answer once I have done tiling to the kitchen floor. Is that so? Then it will cause inconvenience when we will be doing washing of kitchen... *sweep sweep sweep..

koikoi, i dun think ur food and drinks will work on h*b b*ng*deshi workers. anyway, u chase the contractor oso no use, he cant start work means he cant. given the priority he will oso start rectifying Latte's unit then yours. tiles and cement already in Latte's house. my house rectification is on-going currently... i will presure him to handover to me by this week. when he has started doing rectifications at your hse, i suggest u to go back house to check the progess at least in the evening Everyday.

Hi Lurgee, welcome to Renotalk. And im the one who can't make it to meet u all at the last min Koikoi, congrats that u managed to get in touch with h*b contractor! (finally after all the calling). But meeting up to go thru the defects is 1 thing, going to start rectifying the defects is another, u have to do MORE call chasingsssssss.... Hopefully he is nt so tight up next week and can do ur hse next week!! So that u and me can start reno about the same time!!

The reason I'm asking this is because apparantly we've received a letter from HDB but they delivered to my FW's current address so we're picking it up tonight. Then we also know that our HLE has been approved on the HDB's side. So I don't wanna get my hopes up that the letter over at her place is THE letter that we've been waiting for..... You have been receiving mails from HDB to your FW side thats becos u have indicate her address as the Mailing Address.

if u observed, the service balcony lookout to the aicon ledge. its dangerous in a away if there is 'spiderman thief' hahaa.... i oso dun like grilles... kena 'forced'. bo bian.........

ya, im jus next to ur block loh. I dont have a blog... kekez personally i feel its too exp le lah. i only spend ard $1100 for aluminium grilles for the whole unit and a window for the service balcony. Comparing to $2200 just for a window at the balcony?? neh.... too exp. Poor allo cant afford! U intend to have rain shower isit? Meaning u have to get storage heater le lor?
