Those panaromic windows are very exp, to do that kind of window on our balcony/living area, that cost us almost close to a thousand already. For aircon, ii just bot mine from AllBest. The aircon saleman is very nice. Patient and good attitude.

plumber works shld be: labour to replace and install toilet bowl, toilet basin c/w drainage; labour to install heater, kithchen sink & tapc/w drainage, washing machine in/outlet piping etc etc... and add on if u r changing the piping to copper or s/s.

Ur quote is missing plumber works. Do u have intention to conceal the bomb shelter entrance? Oh, if u can achieve less than $20K for those u stated, then i will be so angry with myself, why i dun go for Contractors instead? Me dun have good design sense, thats y have to spend more $$ to let ID headache for me. I dont have wall papers, sin change the doors, din buy new doors; have some hacking, did grilles for whole unit(bobian), window for s.balcony, fair bit of carpentry works & haulage blah blah blah, add up to be $27.5k le. Better dun go think abt it.... getting poorer.

Hi Greycat, Im using ID now, no experience with contractors. So cant help u. My ID quotation is $27.5K with quite a fair bit of carpentry, inclusive light pts and window grilles. If u keen on getting quote from ID, and u think my costings is reasonably ok, I can intro my ID to u.

My personal experience and preferance is to get aircon with aircon specialist co(Ga*n C*ty, AllB*st); get washing machin/fridge at neighbourhood stores(those commonly mentioned in the forum) and tv from big electrical shops(B*st D*nk*, H*rv*y N*rm*n, C**rts) etc etc. I just gotten my aircon from AllB*st after some searching ard. The salesman i've approached is very knowledgeable, frank and patient. He is the kind who dont mind customer go rounds to ask for other quotation, and always patient to answer ur doubts. jessi, ur tiles look small in the pics. are they ceramic or homogenous? is the size 800x800 big ones kind?

H*B will be changing my wall tiles too. Im getting the white ones as well, easier to blend into most of the themes of the house. Topping up $ to get better modern looking bi-fold door for the toilets too. koikoi, u better speed up, our H*B uncle is a very 'Busy' man... rectification will take vvvvvvvery long to do. How's ur ID search?

If u fine tune abit, its possible! Eg, do u really need to have LBox in every room? 1 connection with installation easily between $25-38 already, just count how many light pts are needed? I just sign my contract last weekend... my quote is below 28K and its almost all inclusive. There are some IDs out there which can offer reasonable quotes, please approach more IDs before u signed on the dot. Cheers.

$30k is a good budget for EA... how come u gotten back only 1 quote? When im scouting for quotes for my EA flat... i only declare my budget is $25K. Think my luck not bad... still got 7IDs willing to quote me, haha.... if u need contacts, then PM me bah.

If u decided to go for custom made shoe cabinet.... then shoulder level and below for shoes, above use to store bags lor... i think women has no lack of Bagsssss. For room divider, if u give it a miss... in future, if u see the needs then buy those foldable/moveable divider screen... oso can. Or u can buy bar counter cum cabnet to use as divider.

Thanks! I tink ur reno progess will be faster than mine... cos im stil in the stage of waiting for Perspective Drawing and deciding on theme and layout. Since u dun really need the divider, unless u have budget for it, otherwise u can give it a miss lah... quite expensive.

About to, but end up no. Not that the designer consultant im contacting in Ideal House is no good, just that his rival, my the other choice, has given us more security feel. The rates that is given to us is very tempting too. I think their 21 days promotion offer will pressure u very much... Thanks for sharing, yummygum... I think T&C is just something to protect ID and Homeowners' benefit and to have black & white mutual understandings of the important issues. Overallmy experience with Ideal House is very pleasant.

I see. Perhaps you need to walk in and look for them instead of just sending email or call? Me too, some ID just MIA after u talked to them once about your requirements... frustrated right?? Hi nunu, congratulations on your new flat! I think it's better for you to get a few other quotes before u sign up with ID. You will be surprised as u approached and talked to several IDs, u will have new ideas, new knowledge... and different ID, different way of quoting/designing/style/attitude. Pls dun settle with just 1 quote. I have approached 10+ IDs and only gotten 7 quotes in the end. Now im in the midst of 'selecting' between 2 very positive attitude IDs. Tough decision sia...

I'm considering between Ideal House and another company... heard of K's club... but my ID contact in Ideal House is not Mr K leh... dunno whether overall experience will be as good if i were to sign with Ideal House... headache ah...
