  1. Well... i don't think it's sane looking at a 860k HDB? LMAO. Yes, in this context.. ha ha.. i'm looking at the private property market HDB wise if i find a good buy maybe I might buy.. but at current estimate COV + 5% cash + agent commission + small reno etc.. easily that's 70k to 80k cash. Won't be paying that for a hdb. no way.
  2. I can't even think about the day when my little terrier will move on.. we keep snapping pics of him together with the family when we can right now...
  3. We have a spunky terrier and I believe many non-dog owners will not understand the bond that dog owners can have. Having said so there are on the other hand dog owners who only have dogs because they are cute when young etc. We adopted our terrier coz he was apparently lost or left to fend for himself. Generally I think if you can't get any advise, just approach the condo mgt team and talk to them. As long as owners are responsible I don't think why there should be any problems. Keep larger dogs need extra commitment like bringing them out for a good run etc. Gd Luck!
  4. Good point stated. The thread has deviated. I'm interested to know if this can been challenged? Frankly if i'm paying good money to stay in a condo and they tell me i can't keep my pet dog, I'll tell them to XXXX off. anyway back to the thread.
  5. ha ha ha.. you have a good point. Me ah? not sure yet. Haven't decided where to buy yet. looking around. Today sms an agent: Me: Your abc listing still available? Agent: you agent or buyer? Me: Buyer. Agent: What is your name? What is your expectation? Me: I haven't view the place and need bank to do an appraisal. Don't understand what kind of expectation you expect me to have at this juncture. Agent: Last offer 860k rejected. Asking 890k. Me: Thanks. What did the agent expect me to do? blindly offer 890k without doing a bank val or viewing? I'm buying a place. not go market buy veggie leh. Did i mention the advert was 890k Negotiable? LMAO!
  6. No problem. every 3 months also got 1 IT show Maybe I just unlucky but i'm not in a hurry so no problem. Not sure what to buy but i'm inclined to buy Japanese now, Current one is a Samsung
  7. Telly looks great.. sheeesh our telly just broke down after 3 years.. grrr
  8. Just because people divorce doesn't mean that they set bad examples and treat marriage as child's play I have at 4-5 friends who are divorcees and they are very nice people.
  9. 1. I know friends who have financial difficulties and HDB have given approval to rent out during MOP to assist. 3. 1 case initially not approved, approved MP and MP forward to HDB, who called them back and they managed to get it approved. 4. If undergoing divorce, definately have to sell HDB regardless of any situation unless court grant to sell to ex-wife. It really depends.
  10. Sure thing. Just make sure that to tell her to get all the proof of debts in the form of statements etc, then give them a break down of the financials etc.. I always believe that the government or related agencies will give leeway for genuine cases.
  11. Yes. HDB in such cases might give concession. If all else fails, writing to the MP will definately ensure some understanding is given. Frankly. HDB can't go to every house and knock and check if really got people staying, so they will need other people to whistle blow to inform them of any illegal activities etc or illegal subletting.
  12. My Samsung LCD of 3 years just went kaput on me. Was told need to pay 300 to get it repaired. Argh...
  13. I agree with you on this. If HDB flats are meant at all purely for stay and not speculation. I have viewed hdbs that have been left vacant for years recently, which was my point for making the post previously. Frankly my take is private owners should not hold hdb for rental. either you stay in it and rent out your private. or you stay in your private and sell your hdb away. Enforcement of rules will be the issue. but this will free up supply of hdb units into the market easing the situation.
  14. Ppl can still buy and leave vacant till MOP. illegal subletting is one issue. But if HDB's are meant for stay. then subletting at all is the bigger issue.
  15. dunno man.. sigh.. anyway there's alot of talk abt it already.. victims are really the wife and kids.. must be tough for them.
  16. It means 2248 basically that's the so-called way of countering superstitious belief of bad house number. Jack Neo HDB last time is like that.. dunno if he sold his hdb liao. LOL.
  17. cantonese will sound more like easy easy to die on the other hand. unit numbers are really nonsense. if you just want to have a piece of mind, go buy a sticker "發" and place behind your -224
  18. even lines are not easy. I used to part time as worker for renovation in my youth. LOL. **** tough..
  19. LOL. Isn't it better, I rather take bank loan and keep my cash proceeds
  20. Want so much COV still have to go through alot of problems.. not worth it.. I responded to an ad that's been around awhile.. Agent said. Last offer is 58k. Can try 65k. I'm like.. erm.. "Nope. I have no intention of trying". Bloody ****, with my 5% + commission and slight reno.. my cash outlay would be a whooping $100k. I'm taking a break now from viewing.. maybe will start again in another month or so. LOL. Rent a small place for the time being.
  21. Try not to. You won't know how long it's been on display and at the same time, display sets can be on 14 hours a day, 7 days a week. Personally, any discounts offered doesn't seem to outweigh the potential issues if the display set gets into problems after you bring it back.
  22. lmao. anyway it's a crazy market now for any type of property.. old/new/hdb/condo/apartment/landed.. things like en-bloc potential lah.. even agents tell me say rental ad list already less than 10mins also got many calls... **** skeptical
  23. i'm just pointing out what goes on behind the scenes.
