  1. if it doesn't make a diff then just expose lor. just one post count....can save a few still.....but then different ppl different thoughts i guess. some need to think even about one post.
  2. good luck with the reno... btw can post bigger picture?
  3. platform floor.....feature/fake wall.....fake skirting.......
  4. er let's see.... 10m+5m RGB for living room (will cut to 7 +4, I am not sure if the electrician know how to cut/join the strips...so order more to play safe) 5m WW for living room curtains 5m for MBR 3 x 5M WW for MBR bathroom 2 x 5M WW for common bathroom 1 x 5M CW for kitchen the contact is from bro Centrino. i told her i need the brightest 5050 LED. hopefully she gets it right. ya for the cabinets.....boxup area too big....same thing for the toilet....end up we chose not to do full height cabinets in toilet.
  5. Ooooh....unfortunately I won't be in town during Sitex 2011 but its true...the lady from lightings.com also clearly explained that there is only ONE model of the philips downlights that can accept easyscenes directly. the small round one. the rest need to do customisation then can use.... yeah lor bo bian....my mother also prepared 2 ladders for me liao, prepared to be monkey and climb up and down in future anyway updates : ordered LED strips only. USD 952.....wallet one hole. ordered downlights and ceiling lamps for rooms + kitchen from lightings.com SGD 1k+ ....wallet two holes.
  6. just say the ID name lor..... anyway i wun be surprised with the amount of pictures available on the net....alot are just grabbing it and going to the IDs/contractors and say "I want this" take for e.g. the white laminate with red body kitchen....i think someone had this design on the forums.....now every ID also got a picture with the same design.... until the point original design is by who i also unless there is a patent system for the design.....i would like to stress its very very very easy to replicate a design. And some ID/contractor also very fast hand fast leg, i saw my shoe cabinet (supposedly designed by my ID) at another shop. I also dunno if its my ID copy from them, or they copy from mine but wad to do? :/
  7. not by per feet meh? mine is by per feet wor. unless u doing full height storage.... i have to see what u discussed with them. perhaps u wanna list your whole quote here. easier to discuss.
  8. Sorry to hear things didn't work out for ya. Good luck with finding a better ID.
  9. It depends on what item is in question Things like floor lamps, dinin table, sofa etc Because we do not need to attach with screws, adhesives etc and most likely always got new models and new technology to supercede, so buy moderate price can already. While other things like sinks, fittings that need to drill hole to attach usually ppl want a "do it once do it good" attitude. Because imagine if need to change, need to either be restricted by dimensions or drill new holes etc. Might be too difficult. Drill new holes = more holes.... Use back old holes also scared the hole gets loose. U know la holes after awhile of drilling and re-drilling will become loose ma (no pun intended)
  10. yeah lor....some more me and wide are shorties......so bottom must be max height 860mm - 870mm then the gap between cannot too big also....else top cabinets almost unreachable?
  11. for top cabinets usually the depth is less than bottom cabinets, i think as for height, the in-house carpenter for s k y c r e a t i o n will be customising for us. they measure liao 1M plus to think of it....if use standard height for top cabinets....for us there will be an awful lot of space to boxup.............
  12. haha i also copycat from someone in forum one oh btw small update.....yesterday talked to the kitchen carpenter after calculating many times.....they confirmed the top cabinets in the kitchen....>1m in height is that normal? kinda worry of the top cabinets very big the bottom cabinets small small
  13. oic.....me wan both remote and dimmable haha.....easyscenes at the moment is the easiest choice lor. hopefully philips will come out with easyscene LED soon!
  14. $80 for 2 bulbs + remote still expensive ar? where can get cheaper? yeah lor i also deliberated alot on lights. end up the easyscenes provide a better price point wor.....not too energy intensive...but still remote controllable plus dimmable. singapore cheapest i think is lightings.com.sg at 99 already. cheapest probably is Shenzhen PRC since their factory is there
  15. bro can confirm for the 4 key RF controller, the choice of colours very limited right? as compared to the 44-key IR remote
  16. chill chill. I agree....TV is subjective thing. like i said to TS, you have to know yourself before you know what TV to buy. Are you the spend less than 15minutes per day on TV kind of person? if yes just get a 2nd hand. CRT works too. If you are the daily watch mediacorp tv channels only, check the viewing distance for STANDARD DEFINITION. If you are the movie buff but watch VCD only, its time to consider going DVD/Bluray If you are the movie buff like most techies are....and watch alot of HIGH DEFINITION TV, then go for viewing distance according to 1080P If you are a perfectionist, there is only one calculator to use. http://www.thx.com/consumer/home-entertainment/home-theater/hdtv-set-up/ and I quote from THX itself "If your HDTV is going in a living room with limited space, THX recommends the following: 35 inch class TV = 3.5-5 feet away 40 inch class TV = 4-6 feet away 50 inch class TV = 5-7.5 feet away 60 inch class TV = 6-9 feet away It might seem that THX is recommending a very large screen size for your room. But, it’s important to note two things: 1) THX screen size recommendations are based on recreating an immersive cinematic experience, and 2) the biggest complaint among TV buyers is that they wish they had bought a bigger set." so if you're like me, stuck with a 2-2.5m distance, best bet is to get 42"-47" and then complain about "I wish I bought a bigger set"
  17. if cannot haver larger than 42" then alot of the retailers will cry liao since most HDB the living room farking small!
  18. thanks for the measurements. 1.8m my wife will kill me
