sort of... but i never say it out lah prob he oso blame himself? but my poor dad had to ferry me to and fro work everyday for 1 week...

i went to a sec sch classmate's wedding my sec sch frens (long time no keep in contact) asked the waiter to bring the whole bottle of red wine to our table! and guess what? within 15 mins to half hr, they finished 3 to 4 bottles!! cant be help... actually is coz of this i had a quarrel with hubby and accidentally fell down the stairs at home coz too angry in my thots the ballroom really cannot add in anymore tables! even no extras for reserve!! that is a good thing that we choose a middle size ballroom... else can expect the huge number of guests that we dun even know them!

oh... M hotel can hold maximum 32 tables 1048 is really expensive!!! but the ballroom really nice

my hubby oso never initiates anything i just told him to do some of the tings... but initially he oso ai mai ai mai.. it's only 2 weeks before our AD that i sprained my ankle then he stepped in and did most of the stuff eg. i had arranged to get No sharks fins card from a person and as i sprained my ankle, i cant move ard so he went to collect from the person instead and my PIL's table arrangement all chaotic... coz they invited more than the available number of ppl... i told him to settle it himself or if his parents' guests have no seats then throw face is not my prob liaoz

i tink each table can allocate 1.5 bottles plus another 8 bottles standby? that is what i've been told but it oso dep on ur guests if they're drinkers anot... coz for us, we prepared 4 cartons but ended up only use 2 cartons... prob our guests sparing a thot for us not to drink so much!

ya... the photos compassvale show very nice... isit gold and black theme?? very elegant! hmm... if u're more particular abt the photos then u can go see how much it will cost for indep studio...

haha... agree agree... that's why we oso limit the number of guests our parents can invite by limiting the number of tables

agree on this... we chose 4 stars (i think M hotel is under 4 stars) not coz we wanna make a profit. is more of we calculated how much we wanna spend per table and on the whole banquet then we decide which hotel so in this case, 5 stars is out for us we actually had mentally prepared to make a loss of at most $5k... but luckily din loh din really expect a profit... another thing i like abt M hotel is the location. though not very near to the MRT but at least not too far. oso, there wont be a traffic jam coz it's not in the busy city... plus, the lobby gives a very serene feeling... wanted to take a look at Amara coz like the "zen" feeling but in the end gave up coz heard of some bad critics there ya... orchard parade is quite old... but the entire look of it looks quite unique

i thot the bigger ballroom doesnt has? went to view once... but the lobby is super china... dun really like it. the coordinator told us directly that we shd go hunt for 2 or 3 more before making decisions i went to orchard parade too... but the ceiling too low i din like orchard hote is not too bad and not expensive. just that hubby's fren just had the wedding there and i din wanna repeat it earned a bit profit. hubby says we shd have taken the function room then will earn more but i like the banquet suite... luckily MIL oso like and she backed me up per table is ard $160 more for the banquet suite

i oso didnt top up much. we only exceed the given number by ard 3 or 4 photos. then my BS counter-proposed a deal which if we topped up 1K, we will get additional 12 photos (she later threw in another 1 photo free for us ) as well as the negatives, extra table top and another 3-in-1 photo (we chose the portrait one initially). which means we have 2 table tops, 1 portrait, 1 3-in-1 and negatives etc... just choose 1 photo each from 1 pose (they usually take a few) and then reselect if required... like that high chance will not overshoot my WG oso considered abit victorian... i love victorian styles! very elegant! oh... my hotel oso has free waivers for wine and free floor of beer. even have helper room and the bridal suite has jaccuzi the coordinator told us not to take their house wine coz it's too expensive. Phantom, what abt Meritus Mandarin? have u went there to take a look? the bigger ballroom looks nice... but the price is expensive (to us) that's why we didnt take... my fren took intercon and she suffered 10k of loss... Mine is in M Hotel, Banquet Suite... keke... we decided the venue and then bring both our parents there to see. din choose a big one (luckily) coz we din wanna fork out too much money. luckily coz MIL had planned to invite the "whole village" but due to seats constraints, she can only invite those closer frens

soo many posts within a day kakaka... my fren say means those who went mah... not wrong rite? hmm... if u wan independent studio, it's like that... actually i tink the whole amt will almost be the same if u sign up with those 1-stop BS and top up their photos... my PIL pay that one is meant for my dowry but we did not accept. we returned the money back to them. so that when hubby's siblings need money for their education or wedding, the parents can just get the money from there i oso never get any subsidy from my parents. everything we paid on our own. coz since i didnt want my parents to fork out a single cent, it's only fair that his parents oso no need to do so.

oh... coz a colleague of mine held his there and my colleagues were like "wah" when they saw the stairs march down... i wasnt there coz i was at another wedding if u wan hassle free, then u can look for BS to handle everything. they will call u when the time comes to do certain stuff. if u wan DIY, then u might have to spend more time on it... prob ask Mrs Phantom abt her opinions on this? if u go to flamingo or amanda lee etc (this range of BS), normally they will tie up with another independent studio for photoshoot... other normal range BS will be inhouse photoshoot... korea, u made me laugh on this i din even thot of that!!! about the ang baos and the dowry part, this is what we did... my MIL gave my parents 10 tables and supposedly this 10 tables my PIL pay for it both hubby and I intend to fork out the money for the entire wedding banquet both sides parents did not keep any ang baos since we're paying it ourselves ended up, the ang baos we collected that night is slightly more than enuff to pay off the entire banquet... FIL gave my parents another $10k supposedly for the 10 tables. but my parents dun wan it and gave to us so both hubby and I gave it back to PIL. they din wan to accept it so hubby open an account in the bank for this sum of money (his and his mum's name - i suggested one ) so that when the bro or sis needs money next time, his parents can just get it from there the photo xinyi posted looks very cosy!! the photos korea posted looks glam glam! both are nice nice! Oriental is considered 5 stars? i strike off 5 stars hotel from my list coz budget constraint

i've attended weddings at intercon and GCW. can i give my views? comparing both as a guest, i would tink that intercon is nicer. the ballroom is grand, decor is nice. as for GCW, many ppl like the garden stage but i tink otherwise coz my couple frens stood on the stage with the garden at the background and i cant really see them!! they seemed to minimize in front of the garden... the focus is not really on them anymore... as a bride, i would like all attention to be on me. otherwise i wont bother to doll up rite? food wise, both are quite ok. not much to comment if pricing is not a prob, why dun u go fullerton and take a look? heard that there's stairs for the couple to march down... certainly very grand! but the food portion is pathetic i heard...

i guess it depends... i've experienced very bad harrassment... even walking down the street in Tg Pagar alone is a risk!

i guess that happens to most of the bridal salons rite? anyway, i signed up at a bridal exhibition. was standing there looking at their photos but they never come and harass us

my AD was last year btw, those 2 gowns are actually OTR gowns. though my package includes MTM but i like these 2 gowns at first sight so there wasnt a need to MTM

or shd i say sometimes they tink they're smarter and not possibly be outwitted by those women!
