30k cov - whats $2k a mth? I said minimum $2k a mth - now got $2.4, $2.6k. tell your agent there 's such a thing call internet. my neighbour rent their whole unit for $2.2 or $2.4k and mind you, we are not near any bus stop or mrt or any market. my suggestion is - such things cannot chinchai - take 1 mth rental deposit + 1 mth rent. go according to market practice. If you think this is very troublesome or too nasty - go search for those HORROR STORIES regarding extension of stay.

okiez.... try this - buy simi those locally available so-called "designer" furnitures - end of 5 yrs can only sell to garang guni or worse donate to garbage centre for the bangladeshi. Exception are those designed by WORLD CLASS well known designers - but 1 sofa set costs 15k or more....4k for a table lamp...etc but antique furniture = it appreciates in VALUE, 10-20 yrs later you can sell it for a lot more than what you pay now.

go to any of their branches - they sell everything. all kinds of brands. you get branded stuffs same price as those cheapo stuffs most electricians sell you. go for legrand - their colour remains the same for a long long time. unlike those nonamecheapochinabrands, turns yellowish, 2pin plugs in left 1 pin come out, on/off switch spring loose...etc you can plan how many double socket/singles...light switches, aircon, heater switches- buy them and give it to your electrician - remember to MINUS out $100 or more from your ID. The quotation for wiring includes the cheapo switches/sockets.
