I am back after MIA for 1 week. hehe. Busying preparing for my housewarming. Finally done yesteday. Was a very tiring one. Hubby's colleagues brought their kids. Kids running around, dirtying my walls (heng can be wipe away), dirty feet stepping on my cushions and sofa. Later, have to do some major clean up liao. Some pictures taken just before the house warming. My cosy area, with throw cushions. Dining area, finger food prepared for colleagues. The real catering only starts much later. i din bargine at all for the discount. because mine is a minor reno.. so paiseh to ask for discount.. hehe.. impt thing is he did his job well.. i only ask him when can start reno, no $$ paid. i only paid him during handover. mutural trust is there.. he trusts us that after everything we will pay. At the same time we also have our trust in him of doing the job well without any payment made.

For the first round, usually contractors will ask to see floorplan first. Later on when meeting up, then they will drop by your house to do the measurements. i asked ho bee to do a platform for my cosy area, false ceiling for my cove lights and a simple tv console (not fixture) don't worry, those you have mention, they are able to do it. any design ideas you want to do, just tell them. They will do simple 2D sketches. Don't expect fantastic sketches lah. They are contractors, although abit pricey, but workmanship and customer service good. They got abit of design ideas, accumlate from the houses they done up. Can ask them for some ideas. thanks. must thanks my contractor also.
