  1. Confused with lux with lumens? i suggest you do up some LED education : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lux The whole issue here is that your downlight only provides 200lm at 1 meter but its running at 12w. My designed downlight, runs at 9w but gives 700lm after cover @ 1.2 meter. Certainly the considerations like brand of the LED chip, driver class are important. But what is the real point of using LEDs? lower wattage equal or more brightness. Certainly the track records would show. Retailers without sound knowledge, only create like a customer i met today in the east. They have the whole house done with LEDs, but complain that the brightness is not enough. Selling is easy, but knowing what you are dealing with needs a heart.
  2. Just a note, Please do be mindful that Phillips LED downlights are fixed drivers. Means you will have to change the whole set when the lights go dead. As you might have known that as for LEDs, they live for a long time. Its the drivers usually give way earlier. As such choosing a LED downlight, that comes with separate module drivers is important. next, do also check the Lux/Lumens of each LED downlight model. LEDs are ment to be calculated in Lux than by watts. Its only energy efficient, when you use lesser wattage but yet the brightness is on par with the recommended lux requirement for us to have good visibility. Lux/Lumens is the calculation of brightness...
  3. Hi,

So are you a contractor or ID?

  4. Hi, I am using Bennington C600. So far coming to 4th week since I have moved in. It's a good heater. Does its job perfectly. Wife is also apply with it. Just that it will take a few seconds before the hot water reaches you. But I feel this only cos, my mom's place was instant heater on both bathrooms. For my wife who is used to water tank heater, she says that this is better than her mom's place. Do visit their warehouse at ang mo kio, to know more of the product. As you might have heared that this kind of heaters would not be so effective, only when you try out their demonstration you would be able to understand the full use and pros about this Bennington C600. Overall, a happy user.
  5. Sorry for digging up an old thread, for those who have bought Samsung WD8804CJA. How is the performance? Any break downs? Does the dryer dries the clothes fully? Is hot air used? About to purchase this, but the sales man told me that this model does not dry the clothes after wash using hot air but cold air. So, it will not be fully dry. Just having doubts about this fact as he was another brand's promoter. Thanks.
  6. Hi bro, I am in the same boat as you. Still reading and calling up contractors to keep the cost lower. After seeing your price listing, I don't think you can get homogeneous flooring within $1200 for living room. You might have missed the workmanship. If you already got an official quote pls do share with me the contact. As for your L box I believe it can cost lower. But I have to check with with the guys I am about to meet coming week. As I got some quote for the L box just for the living room, $600 so far.
