Hi fellow renotalkers, Finally it's my turn to start mine own t-blog. Hope to share what I went through and I think it will be interesting when years later, we can still logon and see what we went through. You have to believe in fate when comes to buying a house/resale flat. As the saying goes, If it's yours, it's yours. For the past 16 years, I have been staying in a 3 room flat. Initial plan was to move into EA next block.But this next block has got only 24 units of EA, the rest are all EM. I tried putting notes into their letterbox but nobody is selling. Then 6 years ago, I have the thought of buying over my neighbour house and hack into a jumbo flat,but I was told by my neighbour that she just sold her flat 1 week ago,too bad!!! Then 2 years ago, my neighbour agreed to sell his flat to me at 20k cov , but later I found out that he sold it at cov 25k. I felt betrayed but there is nothing I can do.. Finally this year the chance of buying our dream home came. There is no way we going to miss it, so finally We bought our dream apartment after so many years. Then I start to join renotalk and start looking for Ids.. Did a count and we actually visit 18 of them .Not much design since we wanna have 5 bedrooms, beside MBR, we wanted the 4 bedrooms for our 4 children to be 'almost' equally big.Some Ids was stubborn and cannot agree with our designs, some came back with rooms of different size..I did suggest to convert balcony to a room but wifey doesn't agree cos she knows all along I wanted to have the balcony for my fishes... Hi, Please note the following when doing raise platform bed.. From experience, do not do those that the mattress sink in too deep. I had it for 16 years and now only I can change the bed sheet, my wife not enuff strenght to lift up the mattress. For my new house, I bought from bez gallery in Marina square with the below: Storage bed for keeping bedsheets. looks platform kind, but the sides all can open(also storage space). Head board also can open-storage space. Difference- Raise platform might not be approve, or u have to hack it away when sell house. storage bed can remove anytime to new house Regards,

ya, same here.. starting Aug 13th... most likely 2 months to finish... ok to start... but dun move in during the month... (Lunar 7th month from 17th Aug to 15th Sept)

U should make the 1st move by invitin them to eat cakes at your island....then they will ask u join them eat nice food I got 1 fren complein his neighbour make curry puffs every morning early early to sell....smell is 1 thing but my fren have to remember to close all his windows.if not his house tile more or less becomes oily.

If you can/have, bring a toddler around(best is 2-3 years old)... on entering, if the toddler cries, better not... My buyer brought his nephew(2-3 years old) instead of his own son(5 years old). Nephew straight away go direct to my room, play with toys(belong to my son) on platform(link to bed). After that do not want to go home after viewing...Buyer very happy with my house

I have been to quite a number of ids....maximim they give is 2d drawings. 3d is upon signing and all promise me no 'cut & paste'. but there are others who really desperate offer me $200 for 3 drawings, if after 3 redraw, still not happy, he will return the $200. did not go for it cos id sounds too desperate and calling me every 3 days to ask me to sign.
