The rug sold there quite coarse (the rug's hair), dont feel good. Went there with family last weekend, husband had the same thought too. we didnt buy. Worse till, we went to some shops in furniture mall selling china rugs, they shed........they are slightly cheaper but just imagine one day the rug goes "botak" and with the milk problem from China now...who knows what they add to their rugs.....I have children at home....scared!!!!! Maybe we will go back to the shop my friend bought from in IFC to take a look again.

Hi chixchix, my friend bought from IFC, 2nd floor, Home Themes. My friend said the rug is from belgium and quality good.....maybe it is the same shop that you went?

Wat size are you looking at? where is the rugs manufactured from? I have a friend brought from ifc, he says quality very good...not sure which shop he brought it from. I guess it is一分钱一分货. It all depends on your budget.....

My family n i went there two week ago.As it is their soft launch, we grabed some popcorn n ice cream while shopping there. we wanted to get a partition and we managed to grab one quite special with oil painting on it. I think the price there is quite reasonable.

I do agree. In spore whether it is real or synthic leather,they feel warm and wet. And when it is hot we dont utilise it often and yet need to leather oil it. Come to think of it better fabric.

Quite busy recently. We consulted the specialist on this issue. Everything was ok for both of us. According to the doctor it is unexplained. So when something that cannot be explained scientifically then the problem may be due to the Bazhi, fengshui and etc. I used to busy items to place in the house to enhance it but I guess only with the instruction of a master then the items have its effect. So now I actually stop buying and probably have to believe that if I destined to have it then I got it. Thanks.

Now IUI and IVF can used medisave, up to 8K/treatment (I think so) but only limited number of times. Can check with the hospital that you are going for.

Anyone has good news to encourage us ?(those who are still trying) I maybe going to IUI next month.....yet another stressful phase but I guess it is not as stressful as I was trying for my girl. Now 2nd one is like a bonus to us. Though we really wanted another baby......

Maybe it is the adhesive chemical used in manufacturing the side table. Bring it away from you bedframe and air it, may be in the acess balcony when ventilation is good. I do believe that such smell has a certain harmful effect on human body in an enclosed area.

Hi it is always good to stay back if you intend to have a baby. Enjoying the benefits and a group of familiar colleagues(some may be good). Having said that , it takes time to get pregnant unless you got it on the first try. Some times it takes months to be pregnant. Bullies in the office is a stressful thing to endure daily( it is very different from work stress, as you dont know what will come next). It may be even harder to take it if you are pregnant or in the process of trying to conceive. Maybe you can discussed with your hubby and set the priorties. or maybe you want to talk to this manager of yours find what why he/she kept making things difficult for you. And if you sort out the problem with your manager then you might well stay back and set up a family a planned.

I always thought that full leather sofa means the entire set of sofa (suface) made of leathers (even on areas that is hidden like underneath the seat cushions....etc). As for half leather means that those area that we dont see, they used pvc/ black cloth or other substitue.... I learnt this while sourcing for my sofa.

My girl is currently with a play group in Elias Mall. Montz Kidz World. Next year she will be turning 3 so thought of enroling her in Talent plus or others near to our house. The factors for consideration: 1) The quality of the teacher eg, experience, patience, qualification...etc 2)The ratio in the class eg 1 to 6 children or 8 children 3) Location of the school 4) School fee monthly or per semester. 5) The curriculum I will be scouting around and visiting schools and talking to teachers to find out more. When I got my girl into current playgroup, I gone through the similar process and found that the teachers are very patient and experience in dealing with toddlers. And my girl likes the teachers and is looking forward to go school. I hope she will be adapting as well if I change school for her next year....... By the way, did parents come across any preschools that you think is worth a visit? Pls share with us.

yeah, indeed lucky to be mentally and financially support. However, I wish to regain my financial independency when my girl grows older.

All the while, even before our girl arrived, we do our own housekeeping. Weekday (6 days) normally we are too tired to do anything in the house after work. We dine in my mum's place or eat out daily. As for weekend, we will do the household chores and laundary, ironing....etc During confinement, we did engage a confinement lady for a month and a part time housekeeper for the subsequent 6 months after my confinment lady left. This is just to make sure I can have more time taking care of my girl. It has been more than 1 1/2 years that we do without a part time housekeeper. I take care of my girl during weekday and my mum will help during the weekends while I do part time job.

I was asked to resign during my pregnancy. I was working in an education institution before I was pregnant and not knowing that I am expecting, I resigned from my job and join another company doing steel trading. When my mens did not arrive (first month on new job), I did a pregnancy test and it was postive (of course I am extremely thrilled). Initially I did not intend to tell my boss about it but I was needed to go site surveying and my pregnancy was not stable (threatened miscarriage). So I told my boss (hoping that I can be excused from site work) about it and his first facial impression will SHOCK. !! !! . Then he tried to arrange other assignments for me but few days later he abolished the plan(probably thinking I would be a chore to the Company in the later part of my pregnancy). So finally he asked me to resign and he said if I really wanted to work with him, I can always go back to the Company after delivery.....hahaha! Would anyone go back to such a company? I will not. I am glad that at that down period, unstable pregnancy and losing my job, I have a supportive husband to stand by me. My sweetie is now 2 1/2 years old and I am a happy mother.

Just to share a good news with you. I just came back from Furniture mall to hunt for some home accessories items. All the while, my impression is that only the 1st and the 2nd floor sell furniture, suprisingly today I found out that there is another level the 3rd level selling furniture and while talking to one of the sales assistant, I realised that the third level also grouped under the furniture mall......So now we have more choices while selecting/browsing for our home furnituring items. !! Did anyone found that out too? !!

Buy furniture some time depends on luck. Reputable companies also have some HICCUPs. But looking at the past records is also a wise thing to do.
