Yeah we also stunned by the price when we first heard it. In the end sacifice some other things to get this fan as we really like the design. Got it from Elmark..and Yes I know the history of their bad warranty service..but we decided to take a chance.I had spoken to the designers of the fan in Australia(emailed them) so still quite confident on the quality of the product. from the internet this fan has the following advantages -Produce same amount of airflow as a normal fan at a lower speed thanks to its shape -energy-saving appliance

After looking though quite a few shops around still did not find a design that fit the decor of my house. Finally yesterday settled for the Sycamore fan. Wife likes the design and so do I. think it gives a more modern sculpted look. Really like the Artemis Fan but cannot find anywhee in SG and the power supply was for US so very troublesome.In the end got the sycamore and am quite happy with it. Hope they bring in the Artemis someday and I can change to that

After the initial drawing provided, consequently did intra provide drawings when -Choosing color scheme for your house? -detailed drawings of how the interior of your wardrobe would look like?? Hmmmzz funny leh.. when I went the service was very good (i can only comment on Han Kok as he is the one who serve me). And somemore I went on sunday so I was wearing a T-shirt, bermudas and slippers(my FW also wear same). I guess is the salesman who is on duty that day also play a big part.

Recommend Lumiere from Balestier if you are looking for nice designer lights. Can get very nice dining lights there. Can look for Low Han Kok while you are there. I was served by him and find his service very good. Friendly and give practical advice, will not recommend expensive ones just to earn your $$$. I got 1 X dining light (Black Acrylic with Strass crystals) 2 X Kitchen Light 1 X MBR toilet light (White frosted glass) 2 X milo tin kind for common toilet and bomb shelter Paid ard 1.2K for everything after discount. the dining light make up 75% of the whole cost already Got some free gifts also.. a italian design table lamp and a swaroski pendent . FYI. I went to Vlux, lightogy also as I know they are under the same company. More display at Vlux but in the end I bought at Lumiere due to price and service PLC lights a quite ex at Lumiere so can shop around for those. I got my PLC lights from Extreme lighting Cheers

Yeah we discovered he is the boss our last visit there. The discount he gives and his staff also different He is really customer oriented. I like this sink alot but the dimensions like pretty big. Although can fit but ben worried that the door may be impeded. There is another sink, our 2nd choice which sure can fit... I thought maybe play safe get the 2nd choice but Ben suggested that he will ask the delivery guy to bring BOTH sinks down and let me try which one I prefer. So in the end he is going to deliver 3 sinks 1 display to let me try 1 new sink (1st choice) 1 new sink (2nd choice) Now thats what i call Service..even my ID also impressed when I told her...

I will be doing my bathroom in black. Black wall tiles with very very thin white lines (smooth) Very dark copper colored tiles for floor (matte) Ceiling white Main concern with doing it black was whether it would make the toilet look very small and cramped. My id says is ok because my solid surface and toilet bowl would be white. and I have a very big mirror on one wall of the bathroom. Now still renovating. Once done I see whether I have any pics

Thanks to all who replied. Spent the weekend trawling through geylang and balestier area for the lights. In the end after comparison got Dining lights,Kitchen and Bathroom lights from Lumiére. They are having storewide discount of minimum 15% with some items up to 50% off. Same boss and selection as Vlux, lightology, so actually if you mention the Lumiére is having 15% off Vlux & lightogy will be able to as least match. 15% till end of the month(July) only if I am not wrong. All the rest of the lights (PLC and Flourescent tubes) from Extreme Lighting. After comparing LA, DK ,Kosen ..Extreme seems to give the best price. ALL PLC are Osram(tube) +Atco(Aust) ballast All Flor Tubes are Philips tube and ballast Storage heater, toilet sink and tap from L Pheno Find that their stuff is better quality then the usual mentioned (hoe kee, Lookz etc ) Price wise also very reasonable. Look for ben if you visit L Pheno, the price and service he gives is All in all a tiring but productive weekend

Thanks so much to Mace and Lifestyle for the really helpful advise. As i am not an audiophile (lousy ears ) I think i would just stick with those normal <3 cables.. lifestyle. The QED cables they showed me indeed is the slim type. The wire wrap is plain white with QED embossed into it..not sure if this is the micro.. Sure I am interested in your cables..can PM me the price for 40meters. Thank you

Thanks to all those that replied.I managed to get my HTS today and went to check out the cables at Sim Lim SQ I was offered 20AWG cables 80cents per meter 16AWG $3 /meter (brand QED i think ) 16 AWG $5/meter All from different shops and different brand cables. Since I need Forty meters so carefully weighing which ones to get... Any audio expert here got any recommendations for cables. No need those super good one...mid range ones can already

Hi I have a Samsung HTS(HT-TQ22) that was a free gift with purchase of LCD TV. http://www.samsung.com/sg/products/audio/h...tem/ht_tq22.asp As the 2 rear speakers have to mounted to the ceiling opposite the TV, therefore must lay the speaker cables from the player, across the false ceiling to the rear speakers. As I have not recieved the HTS yet (thanks to Morris, who keep saying no stock) , I am not sure what sort of speaker cables the HTS uses My id say need about 40meters. Need to get fast because the electrician will conceal all the wiring.. Can any kind soul please advise on -what sort of cables to buy and where to buy them. -does the TQ22 cables come with plugs or are they just open ended (no plug just plug the copper in) Thank you

OMG I bought a platform bed from them yesterday and went to check all the postings at SBF last nite Now i am worried abt the workmanship and delivery after hearing all the horror storys abt them. I bought from St Louise at IMM (3rd floor now) from a sales lady (Kris). The workmanship at the showroom seems good but now worried the actual thing would be... Since already bought so no choice now. Have to pray and hope of the best. Sigh after this incident I have resolved never to buy any furniture from IMM anymore... more worry then it is worth...

I believe kohsw88 just did it the normal way. Sent to his VPOST address in US and sent to SG. How I know because I was in the mass order that he organised and I for a FACT know that he did not earn a single cent from the MO. ( I saw ALL the reciepts) I guess it is up to the individual to weight the cost and risk for buying anything. kohsw88 is just stating the facts according to what he knows. My style is modern contemporary.. my main headache is regarding hacking of the MBR toilet wall. Because me and my FW both find the toilet too small, so we want to hack down a wall and extend the toilet bigger. But got mixed feedback from the IDs...some say HDB 100% dun approve some say should be no problem. I called the HDB officer and her reply is also 50/50 depend on the town council and maybe PE... this is my main headache
