  1. hi hi countryglow, mind if i ask how much the cement screed is quoted by your id/contractor? or is it part of the labour for your wooden like floor tiles (which btw is it laminates or other kinds of tiles? love it!) ? do pm me if its not convenient here, appreciate it!! Cheers

Don't mind me asking as i wish to do some diy painting as well: 1. what kind of paint do you use? Wall paint (like nippon) or some other kind of oil paint from artfriend? (paint noob here...) 2. In between first base along the tapes then the first coat and second coat, how long usually do you let it dry? How big a brush too? 3. after the second coat, do you let it dry first then tear off the tape? or as soon as the second coat is painted? Sorry sorry if too many questions!! I'm just very kiasee haha, thanks in advance ya! Looking forward to the rest of you progress!

    Hdb Bto - Beams

Hello benetay, thanks for your input. But no, the wardrobe cabinets are not on sale currently (though I wish so! ). As I'm not getting an id, I'm doing my own space planning so I wanted to draw up feasible floor plans for the contractor. The mbr has limited space with me wanting bigger wardrobe size without using another room, therefore wanted the details. Oh well, probably have to think of alternatives if the actual height is too low~

    Hdb Bto - Beams

Hi guys Need some help regarding beams for my new 4 room bto, which i have yet to get keys yet. I'm thinking of hacking the wall between the mbr and br2 but not sure if there's a ceiling beam that can't be hacked, ie can't hack the wall from floor to ceiling. If that's the case, can anybody advise how high after hacking would the height be from floor to beam? I'm thinking of getting a ready made wardrobe but i need to know if the height is acceptable.. Appreciate if anybody can advise!
  6. Hi Jamesoh, oh i didn't realise that cement screed is not provided for free by HDB now.. *sulks* but thank you so much for even consulting with your ID, really appreciate it. In that case i will go look around or check out your ID as well since wardrobe, toilet, plumbing and electrician are not even included in the cost yet and already 43k...
  7. Hey benetay, tks for your advice. I would go for more ids for quotes for sure, but can u or anyone explain if smoothing the concrete screed would actually cost that much? Also in the mbr, I wanted to install vinyl flooring so I dun understand why smoothing the concrete screed is required since hdb provides installing the screed for free. Pls enlighten me if I'm mistaken
