This week has been all about putting the final touches together. Firstly, painted the main door white with black frame. Chose a simple wrought iron gate to go with it. Foo will help create a unit-number plate cos I was too lazy to do it haha. I loved how the white door, customised big mirror and warm lighting create a very inviting feel. Track lights are up! How lighting really changes the look from day to night. A very cosy feel. I can imagine enjoying my evenings here In white light - picture totally not doing justice to here, the white light didn't make the place stark bright but still feel inviting A clean kitchen wall with no unsightly switches visible at eye level. Where are the switches? They are hidden underneath the cabinets No unsightly cabling from OpenNet, all thanks to Foo for coming over to discuss the wiring with the OpenNet people. The termination point now sits discreetly at one end of the living room.

Am still considering but may not proceed so I can save the money for furniture. Also intend to dress up the place bit by bit. Will definitely be one of the to-do things if I embark on phase 2

Yes am expecting to finish and handover before 7th month. There's still some small things that will take place after but generally should be done by this week!

Harfary is definitely great for its extensive selection though it can be overwhelming

Hi Bianzi, I started last wk of march so technically is about 3.5mths but bear in mind that I was travelling for work and there were some changes along the way. From what I gather (maybe the seasoned homeowners here can advice) is reno process is between 8-12 wks. Depending on the amount of work needed eg. If yours is a BTO or a resale hacking involved, electrical wiring overhaul etc. So the 4mths timeline is just my own reno journey. Yours may not be that long:) Saw that you've also started on yours. Wishing you a pleasant reno process and enjoy it!

Hi OceanEleven, Yes, indeed am glad I had a smooth pleasant reno journey. After reading all the horror stories on renotalk, I was half expecting to experience the same. Now that we're almost done, can safely say it was a good experience
