hi simpleboi, normally reno package provides 3 coats of paint..so u dont have to worry abt the painting part. mine also 3 coats of paint.. 1st coat - after tilings done 2nd coat - after lights done 3rd coat - after carpentry done

The Line Living is one of my shortlisted company cos that ID is v nice and not pushy, provides alot of 3D drawings during my 2nd appt with them.

hi simpleboi, backsplash is the coloured glass on the wall of the kitchen cabinet..need to top up $ for the glass, advantage is that its easier to clean the glass than cleaning the wall..and coloured glass looks nicer too for mine is using frosted glass mine fast meh? almost 2mths already leh..

my black galaxy top is done today..but one bad news, my backsplash not done yet. still need to wait for a few days more! so sad, duno whether can it be done by sat or not wah..kitchen really takes long time to do leh..sigh the procedures seems like this: kitchen cabinet installed ---> solid top/granite top installed ---> measure backsplash and install it binzz, ur backsplash measured already ah? my ID says need to wait till solid top finish then measure backsplash leh.. xlan.. do u do backsplash also?

hi happy, i also bought shower curtain from ikea for my kitchen bathroom..the price from ikea quite reasonable leh, hehe. oh ya xlan, i realised that the shower curtain rod mounted in the bathroom is not so stable as i thought leh..do u feel the same way? (the shower curtain rod is not mounted using screw)

yup yup..around the same prices.. 1 packet of curtain (2pieces) are quite standard price..ranging from $39 to $59 per packet. Rod also quite standard oh ya i seen Tong Hong did for a flat, in the living room they can also be done using non-custom made method too bad mine has already paid $ for the custom made. if not, i will rather chose to buy ready made for living room also.. yup yup..its at clementi interchange there..i think most neighbourhood sells abt the same price

hi xlan, just let u know, for our 2 other bedrooms, its easier to buy ready made curtain..one of my room, i bought a ready made curtain, cost is only $75 rod - $26 curtain - $49 (one of the curtain shops at clementi. Ikea selling at similar price also) the ready made curtains fits nicely for the bedroom. u can save the $ up rather than doing a custom made

went to my neighbour house today done up by Tong Hong now then i understand why they clinch so much deal at JM..the house is so nicely done up. Their reno pace is fast also.worksmanship is good, reno cost v reasonable. No chance to take pictures cos my wife keeps chit chatting with my new neighbour. agree!! heh

i went to my hse to fix my bedroom DIY curtain at 230pm. left my hse at 330pm. the workers are there fixing my granite top already. just a little bit more and my reno is done!! but!! the skirting of the black granite top was still not completed yet cos of mis-measurement. they need to go factory to get the correct skirting cut again..haiy, need to wait for another 1-2days to complete. so happy to see an empty hse all slowly built up till 98% completion as at now...my lovenest, hehe
