  1. I think this is for units where the state of walls are not in good condition. Main purpose of plastering the whole house is to have a smooth and consistent finish to the wall, so that any unevenness is removed. Since mine is a relatively new construction (2006), the condition was okay; so don't need to re-plaster the whole house. Just touch-up where ever there we bumps and troughs..
  2. I see a plaque installed in front of Block 49, says it is Former Forfar Heights. Maybe I take picture tomorrow and upload
  3. Good Idea. Haven't come across any. If you know of some, please let me know. Or lets create one!
  4. Looks like Strathmore is getting busier and busier with new owners doing renovations. When I started my reno in Sept, there were 2 renovations starting in the same block as mine. One was in 21st floor and another I guess was 11th floor. Yesterday, I noticed a new renovation has started in 12th floor. Hopefully, we see them joining Renotalk user group and posting their updates. Just curious to know new neighbours and hear from them their experiences.
  5. Anybody with any information on where I can find the above "thingy" to secure my bedframe bolts and nuts, please don't call 999! Just PM me!
  6. Couple of other pictures with the bolt and nut: ">http:// ">http://>
  7. I NEED HELP! Just when I was thinking we were almost there in the reno journey.. Our movers have broken something in our King Size Bedframe.. few supporting thingy "i don't what they call" that supports the bolts and nuts to be secured in the bedframe. I tried finding it a few hardware shops, they don't have it. I went to Lorenzo, where the bed was purchased; they tell me it's an old model and don't know if they have it in stock or not! I am attaching some pics of the same. Can anyone help me find it? Front View: ">http:// Back View: ">http:// Side View: ">http://> Anyone got some idea - please PM me.
  8. Sharing some pics of the broken tile while accessory fixing and the replaced tile. ">http:// ">http:// ">http://>
  9. What's the purpose of pelmet here? Can you also throw some light on how your ID reinforced the ceiling with timber strips?
  10. Now we are heading to the new place to do some workout ie., more scrubbing, and cleaning..
  11. TIME TO REVEAL THE IDENTITY OF MY ID: My renovation journey has been largely smooth and on schedule largely due to the personality of the ID; For example, whenever there was a hiccup or some upsetting issues (recently the plumber broke a tile in the bathroom while fixing the corner stand; another example the electrician broke a few lights while fixing and some lights I purchased went missing), my ID would not challenge or counter argue. He will simply get to business of solving the problem. I like this attitude of his. It is because of this attitude we went through the renovation journey without getting to blows whenever there was an issue! Given that my renovation went through like a breeze, I would definitely recommend my ID to anyone who's embarking on a renovation journey. I think it's time to reveal the identity of my ID. Ladies and Gentlemen, let me take the pleasure of introducing my young and charismatic ID: Mr. Javerson of Dots N Tots. And a handsome picture of his: ">http://>
