    screed all done contractor told me took them 29 packs of screed to do to the level i wan electric for false ceiling power point for stove if you realise i don have plinth for fridge, partly because our fridge is too tall, its difficult to my wife to reach the top compartment another reason is we wouldn wash the kitchen for sure, cos the kitchen is so small, just mop is more than enough... plus new fridge already comes with high footings

    sink at original location beside the water pipe n drainage, stove will have to be opposite with gas pipe route out to service yard n turn back into the kitchen. PMed u.

    whether it will fall or crack, I'm not taking risk nor happy with the quality of work...at the end of the day, they finish their work in 1 month n go off, we goto stay 5 years or more...plus paying for a proper hollow block wall but got a partition wall quality, might as well do partition n save the money.

    ID's colleague called me to understand the problems as my ID is on leave. she told me tiler rectified some defects on site yesterday after she went there to check it out. i have my doubts, so i went this afternoon. picture speaks for itself the tiler didn even know how to use spacer, one corner use 2, another corner use 1...wtfnot alignednot aligned found another problem at the bathroom kerb...seriously the big step at the last piece of tile...wtf is the tiler thinking? my colleague (a professional engineer) pointed out another problem to me. the hollow block wall supposed to be staggered but they do 2 linear column instead, although its not an load bearing wall, but soon the wall will crack or fall off. also some blocks seem to have cracked or only half, they merely patch with cement mortar....this is crap...im gonna ask them to remove the wall and rebuild or refund me the money for the wall as it is no different from putting cardboard inside. now i goto do their job for them...teach them how to build a proper wall... their manager will meet me coming wkend, its extremely frustrating to hear their excuses blah blah blah, but my stand is firm, hack off n redo, or refund

    HDB contractor doing FOC screed for me they made a small lump of screed to mark the level throughout the rooms. some residents from my BTO commented that kitchen level is higher than toilets, so when they contractor follow toilet to do tiling, u might have a step at ur kitchen entrance. i called the HDB contractor personally to make sure he do the screed base on my kitchen level minus 5mm to cater for my vinyl flooring later. its ok for bathroom to be lower, so water can be contained.

    HDB called me this morning, they will be doing screeding tomorrow, that's quite fast consider i only submitted the form last week also had a chat with the screed contractor & tell him what level i want for the screed so later can lay the vinyl flooring without issue.

    i agree the ID is inexperienced, i also commented on the detail drawing for carpentry is not up to standard. but what to do, i'm already in the same boat as him...i will request setting out for all tiling work before he do anything...

    yeah, my ID told me he will check it out before rectification, i told him no need rectify just hack off n redo since there is no way to shift the tiles now. rmb we r their pay master...no compromise...rmb to ask for setting out plan for ur tiles before they stick them on...very crucial yes aircon for all 3 rooms n living room, above the doors. will be doing sliding tempered glass door for WIW.

    the list goes on, very disappointed tiles above the MBR toilet entrance, misaligned contractor tries to save money, use more sand than cement mix for the patching up, not good...i know cos i m a civil engineer... kitchen kerb ... wth is this... gonna call up ID and ask him to hack off everything that is not up to standard n redo!

    today no one was working, so i took my time to inspect the MBR toilet tile overlay first, toilet feature wall for shower area, the tiles are not aligned the misalignment got even more obvious with the tiles go towards the ceiling feature wall connection, huge gap tiles not aligned now come to think of it...i suspect they didn use spacer while sticking the tiles...or simply didnt use enough...

    MBR toilet overlay almost done feature wall Kerb for common toilet done i use my own tiles because ID mention if using HDB ceramic tiles for kerb, there will have to be PVC rounded edge which i don like to see
