  1. hi soluiz, I am quite a newbie in technical stuff so cannot give a good advice. but I personally felt 36" is too small. If 48" is too big for your living room you can consider 42" .. I wanted to get Fanco Airvox 42" before but decided to go with ffm 4000... Used until now, not bad ID contact: 81570147 Derrick Khee (admin please remove it this is not allowed in the forum, I just checked with my ID and gotten his permission to share the contact through this blog) Concept trend interior consultancy LLP, website www.carpenterguru.com <-- his new website I suppose, he just shared with me. Good luck everybody, sourcing a suitable ID for your new home~
  2. Hi, you can find in post#110 in page 3.. I shared them in my blog... so far rainshower is doing good and is worth the money. Tap and SInk is pretty small and quality is sub-par compare to what we can buy in SG. I would suggest not to save the money and purchase them through taobao, just visit a hardwareshop and get what you like It can last longer and give you less headache in the long run.. I have already changed my tap within 6 months using it, Sink is quite hard to change since my kitchen top is cut according to itz size..
  3. Hi lovejade, I spent about $5.5K (round up) doing my MBR.. It includes false ceiling + lights + TV feature wall + platform w/ headboard + wardrobe... I did not have drawers install to my platform in the end as I am cautious not to raise the platform too high to trip my toddler.. There is no particular reason why I decided to build the platform, I just like how it looks in my MBR, I felt more personalized instead of getting the standard ones from the market.
  4. Replied! cause the rest are 1 month ago I guess they do no need the contacts anymore. Please PM me if you still need them. Thanks
  5. hi shaee, sorry for slow reply, hope you will ever see this hahaha... the urge to post in a renovation forum ceased after you moved in, you know..? The rainshower link is @ http://world.taobao.com/item/24853724090.htm?fromSite=main&spm=2013.1.0.0.f3eCpQ You are right, the plumber will remove the default shower set and replaced with what you have bought, but you have to make sure the rainshower set you bought is adjustable , if not then the height should not be very close to your ceiling, Check with your ID/contractor if you have doubt. The one I bought is adjustable and comes with mixer features by the way... so no issue for me
  6. Hi bro, my fanco ceiling fan needs to have its led light changed cause its flickering.. how much do you charge for the replacement? Mine is a ffm4000 with 3in1 round led light attached. Thanks
  7. sorry to hear that meow... hope you manage to get back some money ~ I can totally feel your frustration..
  8. Hi Benetay, No problem on that.. Feel free to create awareness for Taobao-related items. The main problem with SG home owners buying Sink from Taobao is that most of them are like me, you know.. just want to save some bucks buying overpriced items locally. But using the cheap budget buying from Taobao sink create problem, such as small pipes like mine, causing easy chokes. I am more familiar with my sink now and the frequency of choking had greatly reduced, but sometimes when I wash minced meat, those fatties drop into the sink and i have to plunge it again. Above is my review after 4 months of using it. So any homeowners who have the budget of say... $300+ , please go for local quality sinks. I bought my sink cheaply but the process to change it even when I manage to save up for a good one...gonna be tedious.. re-cut kitchen top etc? -.- zzz
  9. Hi MrK, I do not have the plumber contact as they are all my ID's sub con~
  10. Hello people, you can look for kelvin here at his FB page, it is easier also.. https://www.facebook.com/uniarmsg?fref=ts
  11. my ID's plumber installed it for me.... seems very complicated to install to me, im really a non-handy man... fail @ DIY & such... lol
  12. all PMs sent Good luck guys/girls! Review after 3 months of weekend stay at my home: Everything from the reno stays at good condition except the below:- 1) Taobao sink - keep choking whenever I use mama lemon, not recommended to anyone who have the budget to buy a better sink in singapore. The piping is too small thus causing the choke I believe, I have engaged my plumber to check it but he say nothing is blocking the flow of the drainage... That is why unless you are talking about importing high quality / expensive sink from taobao, else don't bother to save up on your sink. Remember guys! Spend well on it, now I have to source for same dimensions sink for myself. *sigh* Currently I will leave it as it is, whenever it chokes I will just pump it. 2) Ikea suction hanger (toiletries) - Honestly do not bother about using it. Pissed the **** outta you. hahahaha it is not that tight, I will prefer using drilled holders anytime. 3) Toilet shower screen - Did not install and never regret this decision, I do not find my toilet very wet and I am loving the space I can stretch with ample space while bathing. Sometimes I imagine myself to be very constraint in the area if I had decided to install it earlier. So if you are on a tight budget, I will highly recommend to take off building a shower screen in your toilet... not exactly useful. Hope the above info help you guys to make decision!
  13. wah bro.... after a few months, thought I am expecting your problems to be all resolved... looks like your ID is super ****ty... no offense to you but this kind of works even paying just $1k I already feel like slapping his ***.... let alone his overpriced quotation... I can understand where you are coming from though, most of us willing to spend as much as possible to make our home comfortable.. but this kind of contractor just sucks big time..I really hope CASE can do more than just allowing you to file small claim, but looks like our country, even unscrupulous trades are being 'somewhat' manipulated by many loopholes. I agree that you should quickly look for a reliable contractor to "clean up his ****" too~ heartache for u when I see those pictures.. p/s: good to see you are staying calm after all these happenings.. if me, maybe stress / mental unstable until no mood work/eat~

  18. Hi guys, Appreciate if you could help me in my query. I recently had my home done up and also gotten a double bowl kitchen sink but I notice it is too small for my liking so I am intending to get a bigger one. But since my kitchen top is already 'cut' accordingly to my 1st kitchen sink, how do I go about getting a bigger kitchen sink installed? or it is not very possible already? Thanks in advance for anyone who's gonna assist me in my doubts ~
