Hi, Just like to update everyone! My renovation is left with 15% to go. If everything goes smoothly, I should be able to have my home ready on the 1st week of Jan 08. Additionally, I just DIYed the IKEA white table and it is quite unbelievable that I actually did it all by myself. (Forced by my hubby to do it ) He is DIYing the IKEA Expedit bookcase at the same time. Here's a few photos of my lights. Paiseh! Not really bamboo curtain. it is wood curtain. Each bamboo cost between $4 to $25. A set of bamboo curtain would cost $XXX. This shop also sells a lot of ballinese product and bamboo stick but I dunno how o go there. < www.dhotshop.com >

Hi Gadgetgal, I believe that the more space you have the better air circulation there is for the heat. If there is not enough gap, hot air will not be able to escape from the equipment and will also result the equipment will spoilting faster. Can you open a small gap at the side of cabinet to allow air circulation. Remark : I used to work in cooler/fans company that can be installed in almost everything. This is the logic that I learn when I was with the company.

We have l-box and false ceiling to create the cosy feel and clubbing feel. hehe! next time, I can drink wine at my home. Actually, I find it quite weird to have the clubbing feel but it is up to my hubby to design it. No other carpentary work except for the kitchen cabinet + MBR BIW because it would generally destroyed the resort style concept. We are not hands-on people lah. It just take we burst our budget so now can only DIY. Still gotta touch up my cabinet with white paint.

Hi, I went to a few places today. Holland Village Lim's Art & Craft - Each bamboo of 2m long cost $25. Hence, hb decide not to buy it since he needs 5 pcs. I notice that the 2 seater sofas cost $1290 and $1950. If these are regular price, you can get 20% off using DBS credit card. We have purchased 1 meter long bamboo (Natural colour) at $4 each from a shop at holland Village. hehe! A very good bargain. I went to U-Nik at IFC. PIC is Richard. Their furnitures are cheap but it takes a longer time as the factory is in Indonesia. My king size bed frame is custom made so it took a longer time to reach Singapore. Some furnitures will be deliver on next week so if you are interested, I can invite you over once my home is fit for viewing. Plus Pt - If you have the budget, please go for the bamboo curtains. It really really looks pretty for resort style theme. I have cancel it out from my list due to $$$$$$$$.

Hi make me fly, I think you can still purchase resort style furnitures if you know where to get it and looks for lots of discount during sale. For example, I got something from Lims at 20% using DBS credit card. Even Scanteck has discount for 'dunno what credit card' You can just strike out Demsepy Hill for your furniture as the prices are higher than Lims. Even the deco from Demsepy cost $XXXX. Natural Living has some speical price for some item at GWC. The sale person even gave me a free vase for my purchase of sofa. If you are int., you can look for Siti. For cheaper alternatives, I suggest you get resort style furnitures from Sungai Kadut. I got my 7 pcs furnitures from there at a low low price due to the opening of IFC. As I am going to arrange for a delivery service with Ikea, anyone who wish to buy the curtain rods from Ikea can lobang with my delivery. You can meet me at Ikea on that day and curtain rods can be collected from my home once Ikea deliver them to my place (Estimated delivery date between 28 to 31 Dec ) .

I was at JM at 1am plus. The weather is really great. Air-con would not be required unless it is summer time. How I wish Singapore has the same weather as Genting Highland, then we would save a couple of thousands on other stuffs.
