  1. Hi acyh2001, Zerochristy is the one selling her cookie press, not me. I pmed you already! Bstgal, it depends on your requirements. For eg; do you want a digital oven or analog oven? What is your budget? Compare the specifications between the brands and lastly, go with what really suits you if the salesperson is able to explain in detail how the ovens work. You can always compare the pros-cons of everything in the end. Most ovens wil serve the main basic functions such as grilling, roasting, baking
  2. I'm not sure whether it will be cheaper than the usual price as I didn't compare but shipping cost is cheaper this way since it is a spree.
  3. Very nice! Just curious, where did you get that birdcage light for your guestroom?
  4. Angel you want to get? If interested I pm you the url for the spree for wilton stuff?
  5. I pm you the url. But not sure if you are a member cos you need to post in there or else I can help you post? Just let me know? I haven't graduated to making my own fondant/gum paste yet & have not yet done any fondant/gum paste cakes yet. So sorry!
  6. Don't worry! Just bringing it up to your attention.
  7. For adults, its quite boring doing the doggie faces cos not much variations for doing cute faces. It will be a bit tiring trying to be very creative with the faces and easiest to stick to one type of face in the end. Only the kids will find it fun trying to make cute faces for the doggies. You will have it easier since it will be like having Playdoh dough time with the kids.
  8. Welcome to our baking clubby, acyh2001! Anyone can join us as long as we share the same passion for baking and whatnots. Angel81, familyof4, I guessed you used HHB's recipe. In fact the butter cookie recipe was also from HHB, I already stated before in Rondy's blog that I got it from the net which reminds me, Born_again did not see that disclaimer and never put up here also. http://www.renotalk.com/forum/index.php?sh...8137&st=840 Joy of Baking is not bad, I've been 'chopin' several blogs for baking references. :notti: Does anyone want to get baking stuff from wilton? There's a spree in another forum for baking stuff direct from overseas. Might be cheaper than getting it locally here. PS: I picked up phildephia cheese in strawberry flavour earlier on at Cold Storage. I've been wondering how strawberry cheese taste like really.
  9. Angel81, the milo doggies are familiar, i saw 2 variations of this, 1 of them is milo, the other is horlicks. I did the doggies cookies before last year but using ovaltine as substitute cos I don't take milo or horlicks. But doing the creation of the doggie faces is a little taxing though cos got to position properly But I like your egg tarts and choc dipped dropped cookies. Yummy. Can share your recipes? *grins*
  10. Like I say, I'm just an amateur at bakng cakes. Lunch was at 3 actually 'cos my hubby got home late
  11. It's been a while since I last saw a tasty looking cupcake. I'm starved now cos waiting for my lunch and looking at your cupcake photo makes me super hungry
  12. Errr.. did i hear my nick being mentioned? No lah I'm not that pro, still an amateur. Still a long way to go before becoming really a pro. I've been busy with my commitment that I havent been baking recently. I will be baking again over the next couple of weeks cos I've been looking high and low for a square springform pan. Phoon huat has a rounded corner square springform pan but it is way expensive Will post photo of my latest bakes when I'm done. Familyof4, you've progressed to bread level ahhhhh! I actually have several bread recipes but haven't really done any bread recipes before. Meant to get down to trying to learn how to make bread but never got round to it yet.. What kind of breadmaker you have? I read before can bake bread in an oven if not a breadmaker though
  13. The DIY storage box with window is innovative but how about a DIY storage box with compartments for shoes complete with window? And your DIY works are good, clockwork. Hope your back gets better, maybe you might want to do accupuncture or yoga which might help your back problem
  14. That's bad but it would be better to highlight the warranty discrepancies in ST forum. It is unfair to say we must pay for transport and other charges when it is clearly covered under the warranty.
  15. Like that also can? It's always better to have documented proof in b/w. E.g; if the repair guy did replace the tv panel before, it should be reflected in a copy where the guy will give you to sign that you have received the repairs in good form that sort. In your case, I think CS don't want to bother about giving service since you guys communicated verbally over the phone so no proof in b/w. Die die, must have it in b/w, EMAIL them & keep all email replies by them if they want to continue to dispute facts
  16. Those must be the type mounted on artist canvas frame that you are referring to? If not, it is the normal photo frames used to frame photos. If you are looking for the artist canvas frame type, my suggestion is that you can use a photograph, blow it up to the size you want. It's more personal this way but you need someone who is expert to stretch the photo over the canvas or else you can google for such service provided for both photo and canvas. Otherwise, just buy a photo frame for the size of the upsized photograph you want.
  17. Ah I'm back now. Everyone has been so active in here Newnyew, don't worry about it, just update when you are able to and that your reno will be smooth smooth for you along the way
  18. Try doing a few mock style first with different types of cloth before you hang it up for good. You might need to alter the length if necessary. For water feature, just a small feature will do if you want to include it in. Can add some small pebbles to play it up a bit. Take your time to do it up slowly.
  19. Normal cloth, the thin smooth cotton kind that you can see hints of the light trying to show, i think. What colour is your day cloth, those types used for curtains right? That would probably work if its the day type used for curtains and its in a suitable colour to match the room.
  20. They do not have ready made string curtains? Thank you, it's a very simple place I have and the curtains make it look cosy enough. It's the atmosphere of the room you need to create since going for facials is a pampering activity for women! If you have bright light, can do the wavy canopy to hide the glare of the bright light directly, this creates a dim atmosphere.
  21. Not that kind of canopy BBron has. Its the wavy canopy types, those types you see in church wedding decoration. Yup I have, its in my long forgotten t-blog here
  22. HP6 not that good?? The books are cool. I think I have the whole set at my family home but not sure if I still have them or not though.
  23. I think it would be nice if you placed a long sheet of cloth to make a canopy on the ceiling? There's this small salon with 2 small rooms in light purple and the canopy like on the ceiling is in deep purple. So relaxing like in arabian style. Better still, aromatherapy and a water feature would be good including decals that have nature theme like butterflies, flowers that sort.
  24. Hehehe it's only been some days leh I'm going MIA for a week starting tomorrow so don't miss me.
