  1. Ah sorry, see wrongly. Its the living room light but quite ex. If you have low ceiling, dun suspend them lower. You have to consider the ergonomics. For eg; if dining table is under the lights, you got to put a chair next to the dining table then see if the suspended light is touching your head or above your head when you sit down or get up. It would be troublesome if you knock into the light when getting up or sitting down & the glare of the light will be shining too close for your eye comfort as well
  2. Welcome to RT! I got the same colour scheme as the one in the Master toilet, right to the motif borderline for my common toilet. Only thing is that the floor tiles surface is rough & easily gets dirt marks unfortunately in comparison to the previous tiles
  3. Nice study room, that curvy study table is a new ideal since I see all rectangular tables. your feature bedhead wall looks good too. Can put things in the sunken recess. How nice. Btw how much did you get your dining light? Looks very nice!
  4. Installation + wall bracket is FOC le. It was included in our invoice when we bought the tv. In fact got $200 shopping vouchers too. So we got a fairly decent deal for a 32"
  5. No prob. Small thing. hehe Think you and ur hubby having a good reno schedule never mind the minor hiccups along the way.
  6. There will definitely be wires hanging but it won't be so messy though. The wall bracket can definitely hold. Its still holding my tv for sometime already. If it falls off, I go claim compensation from the installation people.
  7. Unless you mount the tv ba. Actually looks much more neater if mounting the tv on the wall. I did the same thing recently after getting a new lcd tv from the pc fair a couple months ago. Thought it would be less messy that way cos the tv already takes up space sitting on the console. Got any draft pics of your cabinets and the tv console?
  8. Never mind, just do slowly leh. You find it less of an headache this way cos not in a big hurry with a year to go.
  9. MACE is a forumer here leh http://www.renotalk.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=9970 can ask him at his blog le
  10. ;rofl: see see who gets yuki first. see if greycat will let go yuki or not?
  11. Just ask for tempered glass & it can be a single panel, not a full glass wash area though. You can ask for a quote with the items you like for the basic renovation to be done. No need to sign up with the contractor or ID first, you can still do comparisons of quotes from others too. Just see what can be taken out if it exceeds your budget.
  12. I think your first draft is good but instead of half height divider, you can opt for a glass panel as divider for the wash area so it will look seamless. Half height divider would be good at the sink area. The fridge located there is not too far from stove & dining table. Easier this way for cooking & near accessibility.
  13. Let your hubby worry about that, you should be resting. Stainless bamboo holder ah? I not sure but maybe try a few hardware shops that sell alot of stuff like locks, taps and etc that sort? but the best person you can go ask is MACE! he is a walking dictionary for best deals
  14. Ya lor, the layout is good esp with the square arrangement & best is the kitchen. can even have a kitchen island
  15. Eh better wait for furniture to come in then it would look very inviting that you don't want to go home.
  16. Good leh, can save & buy slowly. At least you dun need to worry too much
  17. Eh my place is closest! Yuki can see Ginger also if nearer. I better dog nap yuki fast
  18. Hmm I dunno about this seriously cos I've not tried lasik also. If business gimmick, then my mum and i both would be poorer in the pockets like that. keke If 5-10 yrs later still around in RT, you can update us on how your progress after the lasik.
  19. Yup Yup thats the one. That one is very unique cos seldom see any forumer use real wood for kitchen top sia.
  20. Take your time, no hurry for both of you since you can slowly do up your place with your personal touch right?
  21. Compassvale, the other time I heard from my mum's friend who runs an optician business that almost all of his clients are those who have had lasik before. For some reason, lasik is only good for a period, on estimation of probably 5-10 yrs at most cos his clients experienced worse vision & headaches due to the hazy visions later on after that. I can't remember what exactly did he say about the retina which was the cause of it.
  22. Dun have to thank me le. Just sharing information only
  23. You know, got one forumer who did her home all very woody look, the husband did some of the wood fixtures . Very tropical & woody looking as the end result but can't remember the forumer's nick. Too many blogs kekeke
  24. Ah masai is not so far out compared to pasir gudang though, its in between permas jaya & johor jaya there actually. Ah wasted cos you could give it a try then see if its worth the trip down. For me, the amount saved is substantial enough to make the trip worthwhile (We made 2 trips there back then before we'd shift in.) cos the amount spent on furniture in sg is 2 times more. Might be going in this weekend shop around.
