  1. Ahem.. correction.. Men can be a pain in the neck or the a** at times whichever comes first.. 'cos it boils down to the the core of whatever it is.
  2. I sucked badly in Home Econ class leh, that why I'm making up plenty for it in baking. Must be the karma coming back to me for that period in Home Econ. PS: your dogs are starting to grow on me based on your description.
  3. he didn't add any pressure on me. In fact he saw your reply just now & he laugh also. My hubby is 90% my chef 'cos I can't cook much. Still in the process of learning. But Im a little better at baking cupcakes & cookies than cooking? No idea why but I reckon that baking is not so difficult as can do experimenting with the flavour, while for cooking, got to be creative to come up with at least 2-3 diff dishes everyday. How hard it is? Only consolation is that there are a few things I can still cook.
  4. not really. When im on the comp surfing RT, he will sometimes see what im posting. It's the first he'd ever post in RT seriously. When he saw what you reply, he go post what he say after what I posted already.
  5. Nope, didn't stay in the sun for long thankfully. Outdoor shoots should take between half an hour to an hour depending on the type of pose the photographer wants you to take, I think. If the photographer has the required poses he want, you can wrap it up faster in less than 30 min. Check with your BS see how long will your outdoor shoot will take or at least an estimate.
  6. Plasterger, if cannot get through to patrick, I think you try calling patrick's office and ask for Mrs Quek.. something like that since Mrs Quek helps out. If not wrong, patrick's office no should be listed somewhere on this thread.
  7. Woo see your house now under reno. More pics.
  8. That looks like a shutter door like those in shophouses when it's closing time.
  9. Wah, so lomantic of your hubby. kekeke
  10. Ya, after this.. i'm going to be careful what kind of food im eating in BKK. Only my hubby knew but never tell me earlier.
  11. There's no place better than home. Coming home to a cosy place certainly will not make one leave the place even more. I spend almost all my weekends at home & it is really cosy even for a nap. hehehe I think you will feel even more cosier now that you got a very nice cosy place there.
  12. So ex? But very nice le. My sofa cushions are those rectangular one in deep purple suede material. Was wondering if should add some similar printed cushion covers like yours for a bit more pattern. I think my hubby will kill me also if he knows I still want to add abit here and there to my place although its more or less done up except the remaining rooms. Somehow there's always things to add and I why? Can check out this winkplay website: www.winkplay.com Mine is under winktailor category. It's the bird sanctuary pic. The one in my place is a bit modified & only partial design 'cos the wall is long in width than in height compared to the tall wall in the pic on the website.
  13. No need to thank me la, just sharing what I know.
  14. Thanks for the compliment on the decals. Maintenence is relatively minimal actually. For cleaning of the walls, do it gently with a slightly damp cloth for the wall with decals on it. This was advised by the uncle who install for us. This will ensure the decals will last longer(Winkplay decals last for 5 years) I also have a dog(Hubby's dog) too but he don't pee at the wall. Only does it on the floor if he is notti. How much are those cushion covers though?
  15. Like apple pointed out, feature wall does eat into precious space. I did consider maybe a feature wall but for practical reasons, decided not to though. So my place is in original state. Just given a new look with paint & flooring other than furnishings. Winkplay is an option to decorate the walls if you do not want a feature wall. If doing a feature wall, can forget about winkplay partly cos you be adding more cost to the wall than necessary. Besides your ID is responsible to make sure the feature wall must be very swee swee too. But if not doing feature wall, you can go for winkplay since winkplay is still cheaper than wallpaper & feature wall. Plus got various designs & you can also opt to do customisation. One thing to note... feature wall might need to spend $$ to remove next time you want to change while for winkplay, can remove the decals easily. So you see its all about preference or practicality.
  16. Wow, those cushions look really nice with those covers. Where you'd got them? From JB or BKK? The more I look at your house, the more I like it. Somemore has a english feel infused with asian influence. I like!
  17. Speaking of LeFenix, We booked a room there already for our upcoming trip to BKK in may. Have not stayed there before. Will let you gers know how the hotel is when we're back from our BKK trip. Only stayed at the baiyoke suite before. But didn't have any ghostly encounter there although the room are kinda old and big with a adjacent room, small kitchen. Still got to admit, the atmosphere there the first time we went inside did make a eerie setting even in the daylight. The only memorable moment was the time I ate fishball eyes dipped in chili sauce without knowing it is actually fishball eyes. Those fishball eyes looked like bits of cuttlefish pieces & there was no pupils at all. Apparently the pupils had been cut out & the eyeballs were skewered on those sticks at those street food vendor stalls near baiyoke suite. My hubby only told me when I'd finished eating them & I nearly wanted to throw up but bo pian.. 'cos hubby 'ordered' me not to, saying its all in the mind. I mean who wants to eat those yucky looking things esp eyes???? And the best part is I kept feeling wanting to throw up but didn't throw up in the end. This was on my 1st trip to BKK somemore!! Btw, the Dream hotel looks cool. Somehow boutique hotels are slightly more refreshing with their avant garde designs.
  18. I also would love to have this cool toilet too. But there are pros & cons. One pros is that, if you want to retain the toilet tiles, just epoxy & warranty is 5 years I think? (Not sure but should be around there) With additional layer of waterproofing so it more or less is worth it considering that there's waterproofing included. So it will be much more easier & cheaper than hacking or overlaying.
  19. Wah.. Donut is trying to show his 'seniority' & male ego to show oreo who's the boss actually. Its like being the head of a pack of wolves & being a leader is not easy if cannot assert authority in the house ba. You should assert some control & authority over Donut & Oreo. But it cracks me up hearing about Donut & Oreo's rivalry in the house esp the "art' biz. Im wondering which weighs more? Their brotherhood or rivalry? Can understand your feelings as a woman ba. Absence makes the heart grow fonder also. BunBun okay, i take back my words Mr Bun
  20. Babytan, no prob about the decals. Just let me know when you need the contact.
  21. Wah, ranval... your doggies are very creative already, shows potential to be con artist already. But seriously, oreo is still young, you can start his training which should be done immediately 'cos once he is much more older, habits will be difficult to change. This applies to Donut as Donut is a old adult right? This will save you the heartache in future, donut might follow suit in learning since there's the male competition in a sense for rewards & punishment thing
  22. Heh sounds like its a big affair trip with the girls in tow and possibly the 'man-servant' aka Mr Cantona. But weather in BKK is really hot.
  23. Your door handle is black? All the while thought its steel for most shelter doors (recent flats) as mine is steel. You can find some patterns for the decals to blend in with the black handle while forming a picture or design on the whole wall with the door. It won't be obvious also.
  24. PRs definitely pay more for S&C charges, 2 times more than singaporeans for MUP.. I remember reading this newspaper article on the property market in the straits time 1-2 months back where it was highlighted that PRs have to pay more than singaporeans when it comes to MUP programme... that's when the PM mention about the "facelift" that will cover queenstown and other places in time. And PRs don't even enjoy subsidies like singaporeans. It's all in the citizenship mentality.
  25. shinx_82, Check this out.. there's pics of this mbr toilet in epoxy paint(Black) http://www.renotalk.com/forum/index.php?sh...oilet&st=40 You can do a search on epoxy paint in this forum, some forumers have done epoxy paint & have some pics on their blog.
