Felix, fyi me booked my flat on 25/10, but got my key on 7/12 liao leh. I got my HLE n AHG letters within 3weeks..... Oh ya I forget to mention is that I wrote in 'Appeal for Earliest Completion' to HDB a week aft I booked the flat, stating that I had sold my current flat blah blah blah.... I think that helps coz I got the key quite fast, on the 6th week,to be exact.... hmm...guess not much time to set up a blog lah... Will share my reno pic n things that I bought on this thread, for the benefits of YUNG SHENG kakis haha... Fellow kampung kakis, pls give me ur valuable comments ya?! Enjoyz!

hey appllo, guess ur timing is not that rush... ur house shd be ready b4 ur wedding provided u start ur reno once u got ur key. Even if u get ur key early march, u still have more than 8weeks for ur reno, that is sufficient as normal reno duration is 6-8wks. Haa enjoy ur busy schedule...

aiyah since u kancheong cant wait 4 my scanner to 'recover frm fever', me give u a agar agar 1 1st lor. my quotation include... A standard new 5rm flat package. (those common works require for a new flat which most company offer) Carpentry works - additional kitchen cabinet, MBR wardrobe, suspended vanity cabinet at MBR toilet, shoe cabinet, feature wall at storerm area, full height altar table, TV console with feature wall, shower screen, window grille, L box n false ceiling............................................................................................. ............. I got this price becoz of my bargain skill hee no lah, its becoz I change the free gift items, lucky draw chance to cash discount etc... the quotation looks attractive but bear in mind, it does not include haulage, electrical works, materials etc... Nevertheless, I will PM everythings asap to u n felix, it will be more detail. OK? !!

hmm... I cant confirm how much nw leh, can only tell u my quotation is $21500... but the total bill will be higher becoz of additional job and misc etc... Like what I mention to strawberri, I will scan my quotation n PM both of u. At the meantime I am trying to 'dig' time to set up my renoblog, n everything from day one will be up.....

Hi all, look at the previous post, it has been 1yr+ since forumer discuss abt Nova on this thread. Me n my wife went dwn to Nova at trade hub 21 yesterday night, juz cant stop myself from starting it again. here's my encounter.... We are at Nova last thurs n manage to find a dinning table that suit both of our taste , the price is $1099 b4 GST. As nobody approach us, we juz 'bookmark' it 1st n go to others shops to continue our hunt...(this is our practice, hee we will never ever buy anything at the 1st visit !! ) we went to serveral furniture shop over the weekend but cant find any similar ones... then to our delight, we find out from the ad Nova placed on Wanbao that the dinning table is actually going at $699! when we r at Nova happily the nxt day to get that table, we r surprise to see that the price is still remain at $1099! A salesman come to us and explain that $699 was actually the display set that had a chip at the corner, thus the 'cheap' price.( but funny leh, I cant remember seeing any chip the previous time when I actually 'inspect' the table ) Me n my wife look at each other, some how noe what's happening.(haha we r experience enough to noe this is their ad tactic lah) so we tell him that in that case, we will look around 1st. n walk out of the shop..... As we r abt 100m away frm the shop, that salesman came out n scream at me to go back.(hmm...in fact I dun like that SCREAMING...) Then he take out a calculator, n show me a few digits... 799... ha that is a bargain sia! n continue with his sales talk blah blah blah.... then GST= $854... hee by that time me n my wife r already pissed off n no confident on this co anymore, but by courtesy, we still entertain a bit lah ... when we say we will consider n started to move off, guess what?? He offer me $799 without GST! WOW! I was wondering if I show more interest n bargain, I might get it for $199 wor haha but of coz we juz keep walking n get out of the shop as fast as we can Overall impression - Not reliable. those who like to bargain may go there n train ur skill but my adv is think twice b4 u commit... u may get a good deal, but u wont noe what is going to be deliver to u that's what we thought... Hey firipy, me juz confirm my order with AllBest today... Mit starmex sys 4 - 2x9000btu for common room, 1x12000btu for MBR, 1x22000btu for living - $3628/- installation have to Q till 9th Jan... Served by a uncle who looks experienced... when ask him is there higher btu for living rm, he say no. but when I look at the broucher he gave me aft I reach hm, saw that there r 2 choice of main unit, btu of 22k n 26k....haiz a bit of puzzled nw !! did he lie to me?? or.... how abt u??

hmm... ya ID hunting is headache... but as u commence ur reno, what style, what theme, which tiles, which laminate, what colour to paint......... still waiting 4 u to ACHE hahaha.. Hee serious lah, prices n reputation of company aside, I still think the service of that ID n ur comfortability with him/her are the most important element. coz u will have to meet, call, talk, argue, agree, disagree with him/her for that 6-10weeks.... ha except for falling in with him/her.. u will enjoy this type of 'headache' Felix, good luck

hi Gidler, welcome n Merry X'mas to u. straight to the point, me juz find that u r a little bit of impatient ...hee no hard feeling hor. my advise to u is that go to more IDs, sit down n talk to them, n I mean really get their quotation n listen to what they have to offer... hee then u will noe there r all types of IDs around... fyi me n my wife went to more than 15 IDs(in fact lost count liao) narrow down to 5, go to them again, then to 2, meet them again, and finally to my present ID. So dun worry, what u need now is ur precious time n u will enjoy it. good luck on ur ID hunting.

juz fyi, I invited a high monk frm 居士林 4yrs ago thru my friend's friend's friend connection.... . I juz 'shui yi' give an ang bao for his time n good deed, n its consider a donation to the temple... no specific amount.....if I am not wrong, monk will not actually collect $$ for any service.... hmm correct me if I am wrong.

yup most of the agent will collect gst as well coz they have to summit to their company... but there r some real good agent might absorb themself for u...or...maybe... heee... they dun declare lor and yes, its u, the buyer, to pay for that valuation report if u r taking HDB loan.
