Hmm instead of trying to attract the natural light in, why not design your dining like an outdoor? Ceiling painted sky blue with clouds? And maybe a few cosy lights to "act" as sun. Just my 1 cents worth!

Actually we dun need to worry so much, our estate is in HOT demand so if any of us intend to sell off after 5 yrs (hopefully property market by then still strong), can make a tidy profit after minus all the HDB eats from sellers! LoL But impt thing is, do wat u like and wat u think u can afford.!

I did see the SQUARE VERSION but I'm more enthralled by the semi-bowled shape of the circular one. Its just me I guess.. Glass, mirrors and fountains facinates me a lot. !! So your are not the only one having the problems aye? Well I asked the aircon guy to come over to my place to "view" then measure here and there, measure the window, he shook his head. Then he gave me 2 choices!! As I told him I want all the rooms and living room to be fitted with aircon, he suggested me to get either 3+1 split unit non-inverter (2 compressors) @ $3988 or system 4 invertor (1 compressor) $4k.. In the end we went with the system4 invertor as the price difference aint that much..

I have not decided yet, but most probably will be wall mounted. And I think I'm going to customise the MBR and LRM curtain rods to make the outlook nicer. I did try out using 2 rods at the MBR, but it looks weird and a gap in between. I didnt wall mount but just "stick" the holder on the wall and use a cloth to act as "curtain". Honestly to me, it doesnt look nice. Intending to do a day & night curtains too..

Maybe coz we dunno? Anyway from the way I see it, all the doors which came are very solid and similar. So I assume that the doors are fire proof since HDB made a point for all the doors for the "old" flats to be fire proofed. The doors look cool. Maybe varnish a bit to make it look newer. Abt your question abt low floor its up to each definition lor. My definition of low floor is lvl 1-5 which I am in.

I bought Fujitsu 4V Inverter Series, The $4059 package one.. bought from Best Denki. Reason bought it there can pay by installment and hopefully win a CX7! Paid additional $90 for extra piping during installation.

No leh.. I dun find a need for dining rm light. The living rm is so freakin small, the 5 pcs overhead is sufficient to brighten up the whole rm. And I'm doing up false ceiling also there'll be cover lights.. for a cosy ambience. Mine exp coz all designer lights. Except the common toilet, bomb shelter and 2 rooms. $1.7k.. I find it reasonable with the quality spent.
