  1. Kk... later uncle thinks how come consecutively 2 days got ppl asking abt same item.
  2. Tomorrow i can't... mtg fsm... Hmm.. like tt you go on first? Then i'll drop by on wed.
  3. But hor... more time does not = more relax lehz. Apple tempted me... said 6ft wardrobe not enuff for 2 person coz she is using 6 ft herself liaoz. Unless I do the room door like her, swing outside towards right coz it's a wall. Hubby sugg swing left. I told him crazy, wait ppl walking out from kitchen bang into room door. But that whd mean more $. Dilemma dilemma.
  4. I see... thanks... i'm comparing the prices for mit inverter sys 4 too... *hunting hunting*...
  5. Yeah... it's very bright. I can vouch for that. I cant tahan if my dad happened to remove the cover for washing. Too bright till i left the rm to do something else.
  6. Haha, Apple, currently my barang are housed in 2 ft only. Got extra bonus if each of us get 3 ft. Anyway, we may b getting separate chest drawers for folded clothes. Otherwise hw? Shift rm door to swing open to outside like yrs?
  7. No idea... that's why stuck. Or perhaps i take it as chance to save $. 6 ft it shall be.
  8. I'm not too sure which side he's referring to. Because if it's in a l-shape with 1 side 6 ft then another 5ft, the 6ft door may not be the full 6 ft. It may be 'eaten' up by the other side been extended out. Erm, hope it makes sense... if it's really the 6 ft being eaten up by 2 more ft (for the extending part), then it will become 4 ft only (2 ft per panel). Will it b shaky then?
  9. Val... dun play WOW leh... come pei wo play maple. Characters are cuter. Deathcote, that's a gd deal you have there. My hubby say one (cant rem simi brand) and its $1199 or somewhere there but it's an 19 inch lcd. Cash pymt comes with a thumbdrive (think 4gb or 8gb) / wireless mouse. But we nv buy. Coz no space. !! Apple, what say you on Wed? Dunno Greycat wanna go or not... coz she's looking for cabinets also. !!
  10. Hmm... thanks for the idea, Bun Bun. I'm still waiting for hubby for his measuring tape. Haha. Quite happy today... Hubby says can kiv reno till after QingMing. So we have more time to think/scout around. If we are to start before QingMing, latest gotta start by end of next wk. With this time extension, we can start work in mid may after the 10 days after Qing Ming. Yippie!
  11. Okies... will check out the place on perhaps Thu... Apple, are you ok on Thu? Deathcote ah... i dunno what they are talking lehz. But hor, when i saw the pic @ the website (after clicking on the url), i get the feeling that the bed may anyhow just drop. Scary.
  12. Is it true that 5 ft wardrobes is not suitable for sliding doors (as opposed to casement)? Debating now to either a 11ft (L-shape due to shape of mbr) in casement, or 6 ft in one straight line with sliding doors, or die die do l-shape in 11 ft with sliding doors. Reason the contractor gave was that with a 5 ft wardrobe, each panel will be abt 2.5 ft and the sliding door will be kinda shaky when being pulled.
  13. Ya... dosent' make sense if separate. Was thinking of either lamintaing my current doors and chg the lockset instead of getting a new door which seems to be quite exp. !!
  14. Was thinking abt the dust from the bed accumulating @ the ceiling. *ah-choo!* HDB will allow mehz? All those height and weight regulations. How much anyway? !! And i'm poor le. Heh heh... kk...
  15. Hmm... Due to layout of mbr, we initially wanted to maximise storage by doing a l-shape wardrobe. 6 ft by 5 ft. But we wanted to have sliding doors. Patrick said if l-shape, the 5 ft part is not advisable to do sliding (means whole of 11 ft doing casement type) as the sliding mechanism will be kinda flimsy since its a shorter panel. Now gotta decide wanna still do 11 ft in casement or die die do it in sliding doors or do 6 ft 1st and buy additional storage aka furniture shops. !! *dilemma* Saw somewhere in RT tt there's the ft convert to metre dimensions. Anyone know off hand what is it?
  16. Read somewhere tt ikea's cupboards are not lasting... hmm... was thinking if used for putting soft toys/comics shd be okay... or as PC table for their tables. Where's Beng Tuan?
  17. Kajua, yr bedroom lights are the same as mine. Hehehe... not my new hse... but the one i'm staying w parents now. So qiao~! !!
  18. Bluberi, no prob... not in a hurry since we had decided to get cabinets from shops instead of contractor doing... gotta cut cost. Hehehe... It even had a self lock function? Cool... Will wait for yr pic... if you happen to have the add still, lagi better... i can drop by after work to see.
  19. Err... how to identify if it's chipboard/fibreboard? Softer and hollower sounding when u knock on it? Saw 2 vhive mbr cabinets juz nw. Nice nice also. @ 899. But need to measure the height of my unit ah... else everything also cant plan. Luckily not in a hurry if i'm getting at shops instead of contractor doing it... at least have the time frame...
  20. I chg my mind. I wanna be there...
  21. Hmm... neighbourhood shops sure are cheaper... will chk them out... do u happen to have a pic, Bluberi?
  22. Hee... okays... will pm you for the add when looking for furniture then. But hopefully we wun get lost.
  23. Yah. Cling wrap crumples easily. What my colleague did was to use some blue-tack to stick on some areas (out of sight of course). But anyway, sotong me nv thot of it of my existing place. Yearly wipe w dust flying. *cough cough*... Which part of toa payoh? This morning went ikea saw some max height till 236cm @ 1k+. Width? Not sure ok for my unit coz i didnt go and measure it myself b4. Always thot will let contractor do, haha. Yo, Val, we will first go to 1 of their completed units to see their works b4 asking them to drop by our hse to do e actual measurements.
  24. I really will cringe on the day you successfully brought Donut into yr hse... Poor sheepcat and yr other babies...
