PM-ed you Steven's. I didnt have Max's no. offhand now. 10%, 40%, 40% (capentry arriving date), 10% on handover (?). Mine's @ after 90% and before 100%. So cannot advise last pymt is when. Haha... Check out Hobbes' and Darrenelle's t-blogs. Think Darrenelle's done by Max... Or was it Subra's...? There's some more i think... -
Alamak! I'm so far behind to spam !! The arc @ the living... power leh. Curve @ such an angle... are the prev owners perhaps FS believers? Even door frame also curved wor. My rooms all also diff color lehz. You can pop by mine if you want. I'll be there tomorrow am @ 9+ coz YT fixing up MBR door (they manufactured wrongly the other time). Got brown, blue, purple and green rms. Hahaha!! Think yr kitchen wall almost the same as mine... lines and more lines. The grey combi for toilet seems nice... perhaps i'm a black-grey person. Not white! Believed you can get those white lights for the lighting there? Then may be brighter.

What did i miss? what did i miss? Was busy the past few days... hardly logs on. Any gd news on the leakage problem? I also want to complain abt mine. I thought I see a smaller patch of water seepage leh. But dunno is it my eyes piak stamp coz that was at night. Tomolo go and see again. When the TC's painters patched the sides of the windows, it's in ugly grey color (shd be sealent). Then the outside ledge is beige color lor. Then can see one grey lines @ the sides.

Like you main gate too! Reminds me of Mickey mouse family... all cuvey curvy.

Wooden doors for toilet? Nothing to say abt the 'bay windows'. Did you happen to ask them to google the words and see the definition?
-
Doubt the doggies appreciate the verbal sayang. They can't feel it nor hear it.

Dunno why I cant quote and add reply. BunBun, thanks for your compliments. Everything's dusty now, so i can't really appreciate much. Heh heh. You got enough of tempo housewife liao? Phaffia, i'm not sure abt parquet. Coz ID says they are supposed to be like this, so i can only take it its the norm. Haha! Babytan, my main door bo lever. Wind blew it open the night we were there. Forgot bo lever, but had told ID to ask his chaps to jam it with cardboard or something so ppl wun throw anything inside. Haha!! Got bg and bad lah. When yr hands full of stuff, once you turn the lock, door will swing in. But you gotta remember to turn the lock from inside once you in lor, else door still open. Bluberi, thanks! It's hubby's idea for the hotel kind of 'knob'. Straight line, just push niah. =) Kris ah, i'll drop you a pm. Glass doors i think will get decals or something to 'remind' ppl not to walk thru.

MBR toilet from entrance towards right side. Basin was supposed to be facing the glass door, but ID sugg putting it on the right side as there's enough space. Just nice because it fulfills FS requirement - no mirrors facing glass door even when door is opened. On the left side. Taken @ corner of bathroom, so it seems squeezy. Rainshower too high, no space to fit into camera area. MBR wardrobe. Hubby's side. Do forgive the poor photographer -- me. My side - includes the hidden area inside. Hee hee... The kitchen - pic taken from toilet doorway. And on the other side - taken from doorway Wah, you still not asleep? Thank you thank you. Yup, it's an island. Sans granite top for now. No, it's not a piggy. It's a doggy.

Hmm... a closer look of the parquet done by HH's recommended installer. A bit 'warped' out on the top. And some which has gaps... But ID told us this is normal... so we hope it can be covered up nicely when during the polishing. Glass doors for study rm (1 fixed and 1 movable). The paint color cannot be seen here. It's a light green to relax our eyes after the hrs spent on online games. Haha... Glass door for kitchen. There was an extension done to reduce the width of the doorway so that there will not be too much cost on the glass used.

Pictures taken yesterday night. Main door + grille for gate. Not sure why there's this double image when I took the picture though. The main door is darker, not this light tone... Hubby's wish list. My dream wish. Our dream wish. Platforms @ former balcony & MBR respectively. The dark edge at the bottom side of the second picture is the wardrobe. Wasnt able to take pic for the balcony platform as the other side is still full of worker's stuff.

I have no idea when they had measured it. I was told abt 3 wks too. I guessed they measured it earlier? We had gotten the toilet ones too, but not installed yet. I was referring to the kitchen ones. So guess gotta take leave these days to buy them.

Started on Mon. Steven called me to get my DIY stuff or anything that requires drilling of holes so they can do it for us this Sat. Then next Sat handover. I was like, super leh... But i asked for an ext till next Sat coz there's no way i can settle Ikea curtains and those Gruntel stuff (from Ikea also) in time in 3 days.

Realised I had not updated on worksmanship of the recommended parquet layer earlier. So far still all right. According to the worker, next week they will fill in the gaps from yesterday's laying and then polish it.

Oh wow! Your feature wall has hidden storage! Nice idea to make use of the space inside.

Hi Samantha, Can I have the teak wood shop's address too? -
But anyway, good to hear matter's been settled. Scary to hear abt these stuff... More pixs more pixs
-
Oh wow! Good for you! I need to find time to take pics. No time, no time~ ID told me can buy those whatever to be fixed like curtain rods, whatever needs to be drilled holes by this Sat. I went ... Asked him for more time and he said next Sat... Am i the only one who request to delay 1 more week for handover?
-
Very long. Yeah. Oh wow, mine was abt $300 difference, after adding up the moving up part and the additional $ for the erm, parquet skirting? After factoring in all these, think my hubby will me coz might as well let ID earn the difference. Anyway, i've no idea on the quality yet. Only encountered the communication part only.

I think i can offer my hubby to help BrownMse next time.

Took leave today to see how the parquet installation is like. Was told by Hau Hau tt the installer will come by early in the morning to start. Ended up I woke up @ 8+, called the installer's no. given to me (so tt my ID can contact them if nec.) At 8.30am... Him (or from the installer company): Oh, I had not arranged the timings for the workers as one of my msian worker was sick so need to rearrange. Later i call you back can? Me: Can, no problem. At 9.30am Me: Hi, how? What time is the installer coming? Him: Oh, sorry, was too busy and cant call back. Me thinking: Pressed him harder to give a definite time so that I can arrange MY own time because happened to meet the grilles and ID today also. Him: Shd be around afternoon. Will get him to call you 1 hr before he arrive. Me: Ok. At 15 mins before this post Me: How? Him: Worker haven call you back? Me: (obviously not since i called him). Lessons learnt in this morning. If really have to 'outsource', time management must be very gd. They are prone to give last min surprises. And if you are working (as per most ppl), you have to be able to get urgent leave. Feedback on **** doors (3 room doors and storerm door): They arrived 1/2 hr earlier last Sat @ 8.30am (i was still sleeping ). Upon installation, the worker found that the factory had cut the MBR door wrongly, and will be coming this Sat again @ 8.30am. Plus, 2 of the locksets (we ordered 4 doors) fixed were quite loose, and there is a small dent on the lever for 1 lockset (pretty obvious as it's matted silver). Conveyed these to the door supplier, they will take note for this Sat. Luckily, we have not paid them yet. They were supposed to come by this week (21st) to do the installation, but on 13th June, called me to say someone shifted their appt so I can get them to do on 14th. Feedback on Wellmax (grilles): Eric (recommended by forummer Keltong) dropped by also to see our main door's grille. Had asked him to drop by instead of confirming over the phone so that he can match the common window's grille color to that of main door's grille. Upon another forummer's request, i had asked for the warranty period. Didnt thot of that just now nor earlier. Thanks, Mud3210! Feedback on Hau Hau Parquet: Gone through the tel conversation and now still waiting fo the installer chap to call back. I also asked how much to pay them since the installer have to come by and polish it next week (there's goes another day of leave). He asked me if Susan (from HH) had said this which i said no. I was only told of the installation cost (a lump sum) by HH. Installer said it's normally 60% and I request him to issue a receipt and i will make a chq pymt payable to the company's name (Better be safe in case installer took cash and run off). When I spoke to Steven just now, he said they had used HH a few yrs back but had dropped them due to poor worksmanship + their installer charge by lump sum (and not by psf). Plus, HH's recommended installer are not theirs. It's their recommendation only. Thus, they do not offer waranty on the installation. Do note this part. At last call to the installer to bug them on time 1 min ago, he said 1.30pm. As the purchase of the parquet and the installation is by 2 different parties, you need to liaise with 2 grps of ppl. Luckily, Steven is good enough to help us to receive the parquet wood last Fri and pay them off. What I didnt know earlier and again which I didnt ask, is that HH charges $30 for the driver to bring the materials upstairs! Their justification is tt they sell the wood only and delivery amt is charge by the drivers. The installer also said will supply the 'you mu pi' for the part where the step is. As my chinese is really cmi, i can only wait there to see what is this thing. Apparently, if i do not like it (because i worry may warp due to mopping of other parts of the floor), i have to go down to HH to get the parquet for that area. Will update once they finish the installation later. Sorry for the long post...

That i have no idea. But anyway, that was what they say... Pics-wise... perhaps when the dust had settled down on the reno.
-
Heehee. Didnt take any as it was quite dusty after their installation. Once it looks more decent, then will take. Nice to hear you cleared one part... we didnt get those fancy fancy ones, so long bright enough, and pricing ok, we just took. No GST is very good!
-
Huh... got ppl so tok kong leave new lightings in balcony when its during reno??
