The thing now is my house is undergoing renovation and I am changing my basin and toilet bowl. Furthermore, the contractor has taken down the piping in the kitchen and toilets. So I am wondering should i make use of this time to change to copper pipe so I can save some costs like they no need to take down the piping again, etc. So can anyone let me know what is the current market price for copper piping? The contractor quoted me about 1k which I dunno is it the market price or the price has been discounted taking into consideration that they do not need to dismantle the piping again and the top up I have to pay if I intend to change to copper pipe instead of supplying me with new PVC pipes. Sorry for so long-winded.

Perhaps you can try PDdoor. Their concept is slide and swing but I think is rather expensive. Maybe u get them to give u a quote.

Ya they will delay and delay. My works have been delayed from last year until now still havent complete. Although some have been done like retiling for the whole house and changing sliding door. The toilet bowls, doors and windows are currently in process. As i mentioned, luckily i not in the rush to move in so they have the time to rectify lor.

So u mean that it is not necessary to change into copper pipes since both PVC and copper pipes are good?

Ya u must see the density of the stainless steel. There are different codes for different density. Same as for chrome plated with internal solid brass or chrome plated with internal brass and mixture of some metals.
