  6. xie xie ni yours also coming rite? no party la, too old for that liao..i waiting to go your housewarming leh..when huh huh?? can la, mocha is a "human dog" while baby is anti human and dog, only babytan's dog..kkekeke mocha like strangers as he can bully them and try to hump..you can try next time if you come over.. quite surprised that he brought me that too as i never bear to buy at such a price (although i am a diamond lover) hahahahah i always buy on sale wan..cheapo me lor
  7. hi gal, think we met before at 1 of the dog gathering? think was BBQ at Toa Payoh CC? remember? ya not easy to take care of the dogs and your kids but i guess priority will be the kids when you decided to get a pet dog, have to be commited also cos they cannot be thrown around.. thankie thankie didnt expect him to get me the present as we really burnt a big hole after reno..i would rather save the $ but i still appreciate, afterall is the thoughts that count..he know i wanted to buy but waiting for the price to drop hahahah man usually dun bargain, so he went into the shop and just brought it with only 20% discount thanks gal cake from fren's shop,,quite nice as the sponge cake not very sweet and little cream only..yummy yummy hmm if i organise house warming, any1 want to come? hahah then you cuddle as much as you want lah! btw i called Goh Ah Bee just now, they quote $725 for the same model..guess Kong Tai have the best price afterall
  8. tried to call them just now but no 1 pick up leh..will try again later..if they can quote me lower than $670 then maybe i get from them Roy came over yesterday to touch up the left over and collect $$ finally reno came to an end, not an easy job though..at least gain a friend something OT to share my birthday cake last night, compliments from my friend cake shop present from hubby *blink* baby enjoying the cushion and fan mocha having sweet dream
  9. hmm not that the glass expensive la, think your ID marked up quite a fair bit lor..they will always say simi good quality bla bla bla but i guess is around the same source of suppliers la..just depending on how much they want to make from you out of that piece of glass my sliding glass door not full height so cannot comment but if yours is goin to be full height and to put yourself at ease, you go for the 12mm lor
  10. bun got it now no $ and no space to get oven leh.. isasoap --> i heard of Goh Ah Bee also but i think they located in the east? too far for me to go there leh..i tot Kong Tai is comparable to them..maybe i should call and enquire about the price...
  11. i been to ideal house before and met danny, not sure is it the same designer as yours. we find that he is very creative and easy going. he was 1 of the last 2 quotes that we are considering..choose inzen ultimately as felt that ideal house quote simply too high for us, at least 5K more..so due to $$ issue, we dropped ideal.. Danny was very sincere and revised the quote for about 2-3x but we have to give up some carpentry..doesnt want to sacrifice those so..you know my choice liao by looking at your quote i think is acceptable, if you have in mind a reno budget and this quote can provide those things that you gonna do and within your budget and most imptly you have connection with the ID, then go for it! btw i am using the 10mm glass for all glass works in my house. bathroom door is frosted swing door, my quote is $450 (for you to do comparison =P) so far so good, dun looked so fragile la heard from ID that 10mm is standard la and if you want thicker glass = pay more $
  12. at least is a healthy hobby i dun own a oven, think want to learn now also difficult..hows your job hunting? which area you specialize in?
  13. er me not into baking, just remb that i saw the TV show and looks interesting..if got some special occasion can rather go and make than buy lor..now i remb phoon huat (the little red man) cos 1 day my fren ask me to help buy canned peach (cos they have cake shop at neighbourhood area) then i asked my fren wat so special about the peach there, they told me CHEAP! kekkekkeke i really so blur..didnt know that is the place where i always wanted to find out i haven decided on the washer yet. went to best last nite the same model that i intend to get is retailing for $799 realised that Kong Tai still have the best price afterall (at $670) i recce my "spoil" washer, somehow still can use..so now i tot until it die on me then buy la...kekeke lazy bum bum
  14. so bad meh?? post pictures 1st la..maybe you see for few times and you will begin to like it?
  15. but ask you huh, difficult to stick on glass or not? do we need to be very gentle? cos i very rough wan leh..my hands will spoil things...heehee
  16. thanks for the info gal..kekekek tempted to buy leh
  17. go for the 1 which suit your budget the most lor.. about the same as Danielray, do about the same and cost 35K to me not alot of carpentry leh..ok only
  18. read this thread: http://www.renotalk.com/forum/index.php?sh...c=12033&hl= HTHs
  19. very nice really match your sofa~~
  20. ahhahhah 1st time see 1 hydralic only.... i think hydralic work in the way that required some energy to open and when you want to close, you have to hold to avoid the heavy slam down..
  21. arghhhh water leaking from my rainshower...a little from piping a little from shower head..no wonder never kana 4D never realised that cos never leak initially but later i wonder how come the toilet floor always wet..called Roy and he will come and check this wed..very prompt service (hahah and of course not forgetting his last 10% payment)... 1 of the anti-slam mechanism at kitchen cabinet also stuck, no wonder when close always got the bomb bomb sound, thought i was too rough...Roy will get me another and fix for me...kekekeke so far still so happy la another problem is that his man come and install mirror in WIW for me, pasted masking tape to secure the mirror and told me to remove the tape the next day..when i did that, side of the paint being scrape off very ugly leh but i duno how to amend the lobang leh cos sure can see the unevenness even if paint over?? will show Roy on wed, see if that can be used as a chip to exchange for more discount any1 any idea to mend that?
  22. mine at jurong east st 21..signed the OTP in March 2008. we paid $16K COV in jan & feb the COV in this area was like $20-30K we keep on tong-ing until COV drop a little (cos we asked for 2 months extension from my flat buyer) the flat i got in super original condition and is 1st owner (son inherited from parents' flat) so reno is a major 1, cannot siam..we had a budget of $30K for reno but add this and that and ended up with $5K more Inzen is just located opposite the SPC..from main road you can see the shop liao.. the spectacle guy is the designer, he does all the drawings and yes Jonathan is 1 of the partner. We being served by Roy, the other partner... reading is 1 thing, you have to meet more IDs to get a feel of everything..since you are so much on budget, you have to make your stand clear and know what you want / dun want to do. either 1) give them your budget, tell them wat you want and see if they can do it 2) tell them wat you want and compare their quotes i doesnt want to spend on much on reno in the 1st place but thinking back, i will be staying at this house for long time and of course i want my home to be comfortable..so hack lah just spend once and for all.. some forummers mentioned that your house is your house is not a showroom...kkekekekke somehow agreed other than budgeting for the reno, you still need to set aside some $ for furnitures, lightings, fixtures, toilet / kitchen accessories...all these are $$$$$$...you can click on the link under my signature and see the reno whether worth it or not..kekkekkeke 100% completed HTHs yokine9a --> will try out your method but i also very lame wan, see when i get the tongs if not i will just continue to use iron...
  23. kekekke we got 1 living dictionary here thanks bun better give some ideas to aves since he indecisive which to get...btw, i dun trust expo leh cos i read in some threads saying that they gave attractive discount and good attitude/service during the period but never deliver..only can go there and get some quotes to do comparison...IMHO
  24. eh i got my JE at 206K, still cheaper than yours leh, still say JE expensive?? i think mine is 27yrs old..you can ask owner if they ever did wiring before or not lor..the wall tiles in good condition or not?? i think those old flat wall tiles are the small small ceramic tiles right? i think there is also 1 thread talking about NOT having wall tiles in the kitchen or half height tiles..you can go and recce..from there maybe you get some ideas see my signature for ID name and can browse thru my blog if you free... better to do some reserch now, get more info on hand and you will be able to decide better from there..go thru renotalk too..is very useful..
  25. hhahahah think i am really suaku liao..i only brought the commonly used.. duno wat is vitroceramic until now..think my $ all spent on furniture..since you dun cook often, why so worry about the cleaning? like me never cook but still clean once a week..actually got to be more often as my dogs long coat so like 2-3 days can see their fur stick onto glass liao (esp hob, tv etc)
