Hi Bunbun, This is really good advice how early did you start looking for the gowns? i was thinking of going in at least 8 months earlier to try the gowns. does the coordinator allow you to book the gowns so early? Cool, i will look for Deric to be my photographer if that is the case..heard quite alot of good reviews as well.i saw the albums there and it looked nice, comparable to Singapore's photographer.Oh No, how early did you do your PS? Where can i buy my own eyelashes and ampoule?Which AD Photographer did u use? How about the MUA? Did you use Venus or Singapore's MUA?

Any photos to share? Is deric the more senior photographer? Anyway, shoes are my thing so i dun mind having more : )

Hey all, How many pairs of wedding shoes should we prepare? I just bought my first one from Anna Nucci at a discount! Me and my HTB were roaming around Harbourfront centre and saw that there was a newly opend Anna Nucci shop and they were having a sale! Read that some brides here bought their shoes there, so i went to have a look So happy, bought my first strappy pair at $60 dollars! Usual price $90 because of the swarswoki crystals on the shoe. The salesgirl was quite nice and said that she would take a new one from the warehouse so no pics yet Will show you all when i get it. So how many should i get? must prepare my HTB otherwise he will

No "snatching Of Bride"-what To Show During Wedding Dinner

Hi Compassvale, Did you leave a tag on my tag board? : ) Yes i went to EE in Dec 07. i found it a super meaningful experience and my htb and me became much closer after that. just a week ago, my htb complimented me to say that after EE, i seemed to know how to control my temper and know when to compromise more. he also learnt how to be more patient with me. i think EE brought up alot of topics that most couples wun touch on seriously before marriage. There are alot of tender moments as well, we wrote a love letter to each other and i made my HTB tear.. i love EE! i am meeting up with wedding paparazzi as well. in this aspect, my htb is willing to spend the money and i am trying to curb the unneccessary cost. of course i want the perfect wedding but now thinking whether is it neccessary to spend money on viedographer and prewedding video clip. what do you think? -

My proposal was a whole day affair : ) he invited me out on a big date on the pretext of celebrating our anniversary and v day. Prior to the date, he sent me an invite with the itin, however putting location a, b, c etc instead of the actual location to hype up the suspense. On that day itself, he brought me out for my favourite breakfast before heading out to the marina where he rented a boat to take me out on a spin. this is to copy the 1st v day we celebrated 7 years ago and i was touched that he rem : ) After lunch, he made me close my eyes til we reached the next destination.. Rasa Sentosa resort.. He took alot of effort in coordinating this as he took half day the day earlier without me suspecting to arrange the room.. when i walked in there was our song playing in the background, potpurri on the sofa, my Favourite flowers sitting in front of a gigantic card... needless to say, i was touched.. but no tears though : ) Dinner time, he took me to..... Jumbo seafood restaurant at stadium waterfront. surprised? i was too, i expected the location as it was the first place we kissed but the restaurant was a surprise, but it ended up well as we had good food... : ) As it was drizzling lightly, there was not many pple about when he asked me for a walk to the bridge where we first kissed afterwhich we went to the side and when i was looking away, he suddenly asked me if there were any stars, which i replied no as it was raining.. and he replied " but i see 3 in a row" and held up a ring against the sky. He then continued to say that the saleslady told him that the ring is unique and one of the kind and told me that he feels the same way about me and then went down on his knees to ask him to marry me.. i gave him a scare when i said see first (as we had a big fight the day before) but after 2 mins, replied yes and he slipped it on my finger. And after that, he mentioned that he proposed exactly at 8pm so that our proposal would have been 2nd Fev 2008 at 8pm.... yup the small things but i was touched nevertheless. But thats not all.. when we went back to the hotel room, there was one more surprise for me! He prepared another present! a box filled with goodies.. had the ring cert, a proposal note that he promise to love and take care of me forever, a brides, & home and living magazines so that we can start our preparations and oven mitts and aprons for the both of us and he said the sweetest thing about them "know you love to bake so i bought 2 mitts and aprons so that i can bake with you" !! i melted... it may not be the most expensive or most romantic proposal but the thought that he took the effort and the time to think of how to propose and the fact that its my proposal makes it perfect to me. So for all who is planning to propose, dun matter of how elaborate it is, make it special for her and she will rem it for life !! hope my story gives you inspiration! For my proposal pictures, you can visit my blog at fifteenmay@blogspot.com Sorry for the long post

Hi Zc31, I think nowadays hotels have the bargaining power as they know if i dun sign up, there are other couples out there waiting. In the end, we neg with them to let us use the deluxe room within the month of Oct 09. They are not too flexible on the package and i am afraid that this will hampen my wedding preparations in time to come.

Hi All, i am signing my contract with Merchant court this week. However if we want more perks, we should ask before signing right? Unfortunately, Merchant court is not that flexible on perks. One thing troubling me is that i do not want the perk " one deluxe room for coordinators" wanted to exchange it for food vouchers, they say cannot. asked if can exchange it for an additional night in bridal suite, they say cannot then in the end, we finally ask " so what can we exchange it for?" they say we must suggest, then they say can or cannot. what kind of logic?? Anyone can give suggestions on what i can ask for?? Please help!

Hi Applefreak, Thanks for the compliment! it was your earlier comment that made me go ahead with the colour! i am glad i did.. now it looks modern yet cosy... glad i did not go with the normal brown and grey tones... Yup, the balcony is one of the strong points. Actually its a condo apartment on the 17th Floor and its not mine! My parents bought it but i intend to rent it from them after my wedding in 09 for a year plus thats why they ask me to choose the colours, plus the fact they think i have a good eye for colour.. Hi Bun Bin, Thanks for the good feedback! i love the feel of it now... The purple for the area where you first enter is the mixture of the leftover lilac frost paint and the dark purple colour. have to say my mum did a good job of the mixing! Feature wall colour was orginally supposed to be lighter but as we had leftover paint, we just used that and i think it complements the outside colour.. Maybe its my photo taking but when we first stepped in, we saw a very light tinge of purple when reflected on the feature wall, but in darker corners, it look a slight tinge of grey. -

Hi Xinyi_Reiko, Thanks for the tip. racking my brains of what can i show in an animation clip. How much does such a service cost btw? any one knows? I wun have a solemisation ceremony as mine would be in a church with a priest. i dun think i can show the whole wedding mass which is an hour long as it might bore the socks off everyone -
Hi All, need some advice. As my HTB and i are catholics, we will meet at the church and do not have the traditional " snatching of bride" at the bride's place. Usually, the couple shows this scene during the wedding dinner. Any ideas of what to show in place of this? Would prefer not to have photos montage (Young to old kind;look too yucky to let everyone see ),or sing songs to each other and we dun have any interesting story about how we met to re enact. Please help!

Is Purple Too Much For The Living Room?

Hi Applefreak, i painted my walls liao and it came out real nice! Even my parents complimented on it, when previously they were skeptical. Only difference is that my feature wall is a darker purple than lilac brook (Was using leftover paint) Thanks for the advice! Lilac Frost is such a nice colour! A tinge of gray or purple when i looked at it from diff directions -
Hey, i went down to Merchant Court this afternoon and its looking good! Now i have one week to decide before the hotel coordinator releases the date... also went to look at Grand Copthrone waterfront. It looks quite good as well. now in a dilemna... which is better? Any pro & cons about these 2 hotels?
