Yes.... it was like self torturing process... i just couldnt see any other comparable sofa quality, other than Barang Barang's. the rest of other shops (all those so called popular ones highly recommended in this forum).... really CMI....... the closest one is Cellini furniture. i saw one similiar sofa like Barang Barang. price is quite reasonable for full leather, but its still not tat comfortable, compared to Barang Barang. So i didn't buy from Cellini also. The one i was aiming is called Moritz sofa in Barang Barang. Moritz sofa is really comfy. your back and neck/head is full supported, with deep seating area for yr *** and inner thighs so it really took 5 months to get a comparable one.

the price is ok. $750 is fair. kitchen cost cheaper coz its easier to do. town council contractors can be trusted coz they are scared of complaints. if flat owners complains abt them, town councils will strike off them from the list. so its the best to go thru town council.

Their quality is no doubt very good. i never question abt the quality and service. well, quality comes with a price. that's the thing we all must know. We buy from some cheapo furniture store and we keep worryng abt their delivery, condition, blah blah blah.... what for? Just to save abit?? last time i almost bought a sofa from Barang Barang. Damm solid built, damm bloody comfy with double springs and all tat. but its expensive. its only PU leather and the price is $2500 normal price. even at 50% off, its about $1300. Their PU leather is very different from other shops. their PU leather really feels like leather, scratch like real leather. and even smell like real leather. I guess they use better material to do the PU leather. I see other stores' PU leather. its really like rubber PVC lor...... Well, my heart was really torn. common sense will say tat its not worth to pay so much for PU leather sofa. But the quality is good. in the end, i didnt get it........ instead, i got a half leather sofa at a lower price. Quality and comfy can match Barang Barang one. But it took me 5 months to look for this one after i saw the barang barang one.

yup. Joven is really good for keeping water for long time, and it heats up the water very fast too. it has SS tank.

You can go to this shop, Door Plus, to see the Veener door samples. they are at East Coast road area.

Lock sets can be DIY... very easy... my contractor offered to change it FOC for me.... i think yr ID is $$ faced. i bought the new lock set myself and give it to my contractor. after its been fixed, i further bought the DURO key hole lock for the main wooden door and i DIY this myself.

actually when i saw that the motor or compressor is a japanese brand and made in singapore, i'm not worried at all, because it's made locally, and i trust local made stuff, compared to made in vietnam or thailand or china or malaysia look at philips TV or other products, all made in singapore, and is there any problem? of course, with 4 or 5 ticks, it still depends on how often u open and close the fridge door. if u seldom open doors, then save alot... if always open and close door, having 10 ticks, also no use...... ha...

their fridge is considered among the best.... i got one F&P fridge. the beauty of F&P is that the walls of the fridge is thin, and yet is energy savings (4 ticks). this is the technology they have. the other brands, you see the walls. all very thick. and hence lesser interior space for you to use. However, i must tell you that the motor of F&P is panasonic or some japanese brand and the motor is made in Singapore. so, you guide for yourself.

Thier prices can bargain one...... just ask for discounts those displayed price tags are meant for ppl coming with their IDs or contractors..... it's a business trick. press them to give cheaper price and they can do it.

My sofa is coming tmr!!!! Got a call from Univonna yesterday and confirm that they will deliver it on 29 Sept Mon!!! Horray!!! I placed order on 20th Sept, and they deliver on 29th Sept. Univonna is true to their words that they can deliver within 10 days!!! Ok, let's hope my sofa is 100% perfect when they deliver tmr.

$3k is definitely more than enough la.... go and look at Univonna outlets. they got one shop in beach road, furniture mall. $3k can buy any one of their sofa, and still got spare change...... i ordered my leather sofa there. delivery takes 10 days or less.

maybe u should tell us how does the floor looks like now? is there a drop there already? is it a just flat floor? if u are not changing the floor tiles, then it is not possible to do a drop or a kerb. actually a kerb still can be done, because it's just a added pc of cement over the floor surface. and u decide on the tiles to use to cover the kerb. but for a drop, the contractor needs to hack and make your shower area lower than the other side of the floor.

1 pc is nice in design. its low profile, shorter. so it will make yr toilet looks bigger and has more space. however, 1 pc water container can hold lesser water. so the flush is not so powerful. i'm using 1 pc WCs now. Cristzo brand. its nice and all that.

i have finally bought my sofa!!! its from univonna at furniture mall, beach rd. there are some good reviews abt this shop, so i taking the risk now. good reasonable price. 3 seater, half leather, 2.4metre and 90cm depth. very deep and big seating portion for your bum to sit on. sofa name is EAST. the sofa price alone is $950 Plus 1 otterman total price $1100. half leather means the yr body contact areas are in real leather. the back and side of sofa is in soft PU the shop says its cowhide leather. dun know whether to believe or not. delivery is quite fast - 10 days. lets hope they keep their word on it. i was served by a young boy. he's very young, but his salesmanship is good for his young age. quite impressed by him.

Er..... univonna got sell mattress and bed frame meh?? I have finally purchased sofa. its from Univonna in furniture mall sofa 3 seater, 2.4metre, half leather plus one otterman. delivery end of Sept. $1100 total price. hope its a good deal...... it sounds a good deal to me though, after seeing so many shops.... Univonna has the most reasonable price for the quality of sofa. what i like abt their sofa is that its deep. the seating portion is deep, like almost 1 metre. it makes yr bum and legs feel comfortable

price no diff between the 2 brands in most shops. still better to get joven.......

yup, the chicken brand is the best of all.... solid stainless steel. i had bought some racks from chicken brand about 5 yrs ago.... and still no rust.... and these racks are always get wet in the shower area. so wat do you all think about chicken brand? good, right??

a drop is where yr shower area is lower than your toilet floor. a kerb is a block of cement that protrude out of the floor. so that means each time u want to walk over it, u need to lift up yr legs. if not, u will trip over the kerb nowadays, kerbs are old fashioned liao..... a drop is more sleek and less obvious. mine is resale flat also and i do a drop.

the problem is tat most home owners install 10-15 energy saving lights in the hall or room, and switch on 4-6 bulbs at the same time. this is NOT energy saving. one bulb is average 10W. switch on 6 bulbs will be 60W!! where got energy saving??? switch on 8 bulbs will be 80W!! the normal flourcesent one is only 32W. there is a serious misconception about using energy saving bulbs, same as using Inverter air cons.....

u should look at Legrand brand instead. (French company) its better quality and cheaper than MK...... anyway you can find these 2 brands at Choo Chiang Mkting. they got branches almost everywhere in spore. look at their website.

i have warned ppl in this forum that Poh Joo stuff are no good.....cheap but no good... the materials are lousy and not refined in the design....

Ariston is made in Vietnam!! Joven is made in Malaysia. which one will you trust? Vietnamese product or Malaysian one? Another Joven retains heat much longer.... i'm using it and i know it Joven got 10 yrs warranty... ariston got how many years warranty? in fact i have used ariston b4. and i can tell the difference. if u just switch on one time in 1 day for joven heater, and joven is able to keep the heat for 16 hours.... why not? its better than you keep switching on 2-3 times in a day for ariston heater, right?

I'm thinking of getting BEST sofa from Univonna..... any feedback about this sofa or this shop? what's the price for this sofa that you all know?
