  1. Maybe customise or alteration. Choose a simple design wood or metal bed where alteration is possible but the painting finishing on the altered portion is impossible to be the same as your original.
  2. Paint manufacturer won't make such a bad quality paint. Maybe is painter's skill or the type of paint like matex. As for Matex, maybe this is a latex base paint if I'm not mistaken. It is not so well absorbed into the plastered wall and it gives a thick harden coating when dry. Most emulsion paint are water base paint which is well absorb into wall.
  3. HDB sent a contractor to my flat yesterday after I called in regarding low water pressure. The contractor checked and turn on 3 of my taps to let iwater run on the same time. He said these speed is aceptable as recently HDB has installed something like damper to restrict water usage.
  4. I do agree with you. Depending on the types of profile use for the sliding window/grille, it is not difficult to remove it. Alumn is soft alloy. The construction of the window frame is mainly rivetd, the 4 angle jointing are scew together with a pc of plastic inserted into the tubing. The panels sitting on the roller has a pc of 'stopper' and the side it is sometime riveted with a thin pc of plastic to secure it. If the grille is outside the window at the commonc acess, the mounting is also on the outside of the wall. The fastener like wallplug can be remove without diffculty. Through my past experiencs in application of permit thru HDB E-services, I have not seen any choice of selection on installation of window grille outside the window.
  5. Forgot to tell you, they don't open the full set of doors, only 2 panels that lead to upstair. Just call them to place order, it's not a showroom, so no display.
  6. If you are buying the PVC type with the handle, you just need to mount a pc of 'U' metal bracket on the wall to hold the box. For box w/o handle, order a pc of holder to hold the base of the box with hook to hook it onto the bracket of the wall.
  7. Quality should be the same. It depends on how you take care of it. Log in to e-store, power tools, brands - compare the functions. Don't buy the cordless type, its not powerful enough for drilling on metal surface. Buy the two way, variable speed and strong enough to work on steel.

  11. Stainless steel backing is easy to maintain. Just wipe it after every cook with towel or cloth in warm soapy water with dish detergent or soap powder. No harsh scrubbing like using scotchbrite or the use of grainy detergent like cif, vim etc. It is better to use s/s in hairline finishing than BA which is too gloss or 2B which is too dull. If you are using a plywood top, you can have the backing bend from the table top w/o joint-gap.
  12. My apologise. Its: http://www.ewins-group.com/furndoor.htm and the www.ewins.com.sg for handles
  13. Most likely dimension problem; door's height too tall with too narrow width. Just like if a cabinet is tall, narrow and shallow, it can topple Shrinkage is very rare. An experience carpenter should be able to advise regarding the construction & dimension unless customer insisted on the dimension and the good look of flushed finishing
  14. Try http://www.ewins-group.com/furndoor.htm
  15. Don't think there is such service of renting sander. This tool when not handle properly, the motor get burnt easily. If you intend to buy one, check with manufacturer for advise. The belt sander is more for fine sanding preparing for painting. The normal one should be Obital sander from Bosch, it sand in a circular motion. The other is the Random sander that move in circular motion but in non-directonal finishing, ths is more expensive, $400/- plus as it is driven by means of air-receiver.
  16. I think you went to the wrong unit,- their powdercoating plant. Give them a call 64825030, not sure whether the company is still there as I no longer in the furniture industry. The price at both CI and EI is not much different, don't need to negotiate.
  17. view this www. Ewins hardware, seawalk, shanghai tong lee
  18. I think this type of folding frame is not suitable for your 4ft x 4ft table, maybe change to 4ft x 5ft. 5ft is 60inches, divide by 2 is 30", normal table height is 29". check with Eastern Iron Bed and CentralIron for other choices and advise regarding height.
