Wow 12ft is quite long already! I'm only doing 10ft due to space contraints, can't squeeze everything into a room even though i hacked 2 rooms into 1 also. Like yours too, one side in the bedroom, the other side is the study area. + study cabinets + WIW.

kopitechC, in that case, i'll go with the doors if i'm you also. Not forgeting the moist from the toilet, the clothes will smell too.

the hood will not be enough to prevent the smoke and oil coming out of the kitchen. Unless you're getting a maid to clean your floor and furniture daily, better to get a door to completely block out the oil and smoke.

shazzer, i have the same toilet tiles as your mum's! only that the whole shower area i ask my contractor to put all the dark coloured ones instead.

i can't change my kitchen sink, cos if change need to hack the sink cement stand. The sink is very shallow, don't like it..hmpf.

By right the external painting should all comes with one coat of sealer. I don't think it's the brick problem, think should be that painting is old and it's time to repaint the facade. Anyway all the best to you, hope things will be smooth thereafter. Looking forward to more pics...hehe

actually your living hall is big, can have your dining area there too if you want. Are you going to set your dining table against the wall?

Nowadays seems like not easy for 1st timers to get their flat. My cousin also faced with the same problem. Just came back from the outlet at Furniture mall, me and hubby loves the reclining sofas and the rocking/reclining one! Out of our budget but simply irresitable thus placed an order them them. Got to cut down on our budget on other things :-p
