Comparison On Quotation From Two Different Id

Received quotations from 2 different Ids. Would like to ask for your advise.

Id A

Hack off existing 3 bedrooms homogenous floor tiles = $ 400

Supply sand and haulage material to door step = $ 350

Clear debris off site = $ 150

Chemical washing whole unit (2 times) = $ 120

Apply 3 bedrooms cement screeding = $ 600

Construct master toilet cement screed = $ 90

Supply and lay 3 bedrooms parquet w/ skirting and varnishing = $ 2700

Labour fee to install master toilet WC bowl = $ 100

Labour fee to install master toilet vanity in/out piping = $ 80

Labour fee to install 2 toilet spray tap = $ 60

Fabricate and install 2 toilets top track alum bifold door = $ 520

Fabricate and install master toilet 10mm tampered glass shower screen = $ 400

Fabricate and install 9ft full height laminate feature wall for bomb shelter = $ 1710

Fabricate and install master toilet top and bottom laminate vanity cabinet = $ 1050

Supply and install master toilet vanity solid surface worktop = $ 350

Supply and install master toilet vanity length mirror = $ 240

Id B

Supply labour & tools to hack off existing floor tiles w/ skirting at 3 nos bedroom area = $ 300

Supply labour & building materials to level 3 nos bedroom flooring with cement screed. = $ 400

Supply & install WPC colour aluminium acrylic bi-fold doors at 2 nos of toilets = $ 320

Supply & install a frameless shower screen enclosure at Main bedroom toilet = $ 680

Supply & install teak strip / parquet w/ lacquer to 3 nos bedroom floor = $2200

Supply labour & material to install timber skirting w/ lacquer to 3 nos bedrooms = $ 400

Supply & install 1 nos of coloured pedestal toilet bowls at Main bedroom & Common toilet = $ 250

Supply & install 2 nos handspray set at Main bedroom & Common toilet = $ 80

Supply & install a selected brand solid surface 5ft vanity top to Main bedroom w/o wash basin. = $ 400

Supply & install a full length mirror w/ suspended cabinet = $ 800

To fabricate 9ft full height design wall feature using solid plywood & high pressure laminate = $1260

Any advise on the pricing? Are both reasonable price?

As you can see Id B's price is much cheaper compare to Id A's for the same work they do.

My concern is: Id B's work will be less excellent compared to Id A's because it is less renowned company.

As you can see Id B's price is much cheaper compare to Id A's for the same work they do. Please check their details for material and any hidden cost

My concern is: Id B's work will be less excellent compared to Id A's because it is less renowned company. You mean you prefer branded one? Need to see their workmanship and references first. Also their attitude and services counts

We haven't met ID B personally. He said it's still too far from getting the key.

But ID A offer to meet us. He even told us if confirm no need deposit as it's only small amount for him. But when it's started we need to pay 20%. We're so impressed by his sincerity. But again price on the high side.

I can feel that he is sincere too. Usually, once confirm, most ID will ask for $$$ first even for small amount. If you feel that the price is high, just look for more quote before confirming since you have the time. See more so that you have a good feel of the quote and understand if there is any hidden cost. Attitude and service is important. The price is not able to tell you much about the service and attitude. Only through communicating with them, before you feel the chemistry
