Need Advise To Diy Paint One Wall

Hi all, I'm going to DIY paint one wall which is in the living room. However I am quite a novice at how to go about this. I am prepared to spend some time and effort, though.

Can anyone tell me what tools I would need (roller vs brush), where and what brand paint to buy, how much paint for one wall approx 4.4m long, whether there are different types of paints which must be considered, and the process for painting the wall?

The whole house has been painted about a year ago, if that matters.
