Relacker 1 Report post Posted January 11, 2008 We intend to visit NZ's fjorland regions and the famous Milford sound, Fax and FranJoseph glacier.But we dun intend to do self drive , what is the best option? we tot of package tour but afraid no package tour will cover all these palces.for bus tour is it ok to book there? looks expensive to me some cost like 2.5k for 11 day land tour!! tinsel 1 Report post Posted June 10, 2013 5 years late reply :xanyways. because of nz weather, self-drive is not recommended. roads can be slippery and dangerous if the driver doesn't know how to regain control of his vehicle.within nz, can travel long distances by train or ferry.tours by new zealanders are generally expensive.
