Just check with him, he said it's not supreme but same manufacture with supreme (s.t like that),made in Malaysia.

Anyone has idea abt this brand? :(

It is one of the top range using HDF made from Poplar tree but be assured to get a proper installation by a proper laminate floor installation company because most laminate importers get Malaysia and China installers which after services will be non-contactable.

I knew of a particular company which specialized in installing these boards. You can contact Evorich Holdings @ 90606767.

Hi, I signed up with Evorich (tarkett laminate) at the Mar09 S'pore Expo. I was looking for a VERY dark brown laminate with minimal patterns/designs and saw a laminate plank with the exact color I wanted, displayed at the Tarkett booth. I was told that if I sign up, I can choose whatever colour I wanted , so I paid a $500 deposit. They quoted me around $3.6k for living rm+dining rm+ master bedrm based on my hdb floorplan. But final price is subjected to actual measurement. So this Evorich guy came over for measurement and I was told that the final price is $2.9k. He brought along some samples and I didn't see the laminate colour I wanted! The samples were VERY limited and I was disappointed. The darkest sample had ridges so I that's a definte no, which leaves us the 2nd darkest colour which has patterns. No choice so I still paid and the following week, they started laying the laminates.

After everything was done, the Evorich guy contacted my husband and said he forgot to measure our masterbedroom and in fact the final price should have been $4k! I was so angry because

1) they didn't have the exact colour I wanted and i'm not very satisfied with the one they laid in my hse. It was stupidity on our part not asking them for the exact name of that colour at the expo

2) We are on an extremely tight budget (1st time owners) so any surprise like this isn't helping us. If the Evorich guy had informed us of this error BEFORE they laid the laminates, we would have told him NOT to lay the laminates in the master bedroom

3) WE COULD HAVE ENGAGED ANOTHER SUPPLIER WHO QUOTED US SLIGHTLY MORE THAN $4K TO LAMINATE THE ENTIRE HOUSE!

So guys, pls be careful when choosing your laminate supplier. Before you sign, 'everything can'. After you sign, 'everything don't have'!! It's the same, with my other contractor and bathroom suppliers. When it comes time to delivering, all promises go down the drain

Just to check, Beside Supreme AC5, what are other brands can we look into?

Does Pergo Malaysian range cost about the same?

I was quoted Supreme AC5 by my ID, but i was wondering what other brands are equally good?

According to my knowledge, Supreme AC5 is being tested in Singapore PSB (able to withhold >6500) using their malaysia made from Stalheim Industries Sdn. Bhd thats why they proclaim as AC5. If you wish to find out more you can contact PSB Singapore. However as compare to Europe tests (AC3 - AC5) will be of higher standard, personally I would rather use Europe floorboard.

Good real AC5 boards are available from Quickstep, Kronotex and Pergo have it and it cost around min $7.

There is an upcoming laminate floorboard call the Parador. Parador (http://www.parador.de/en/) has 19 colours. They have the first ProAir system for laminate flooring and engineered wood flooring that clearly reduces unhealthy airborne substances indoors such as formaldehyde and unpleasant smells such as tobacco smoke. The ProAir system is based on the organic protein, Protectin. Using an innovative process, the active substance is applied at the factory. Protectin sets off a physiochemical process, which ensures that harmful substances and emissions are absorbed, broken down and neutralised - an active principle that was derived from nature. This process is permanently effective due to the almost inexhaustible absorption capacity of the ProAir system. This is confirmed by extensive tests by the ECO Institute for the Environment. With Parador ProAir you can breathe freely. (gotten from germany website)

If i have the budget, how i wish i can change my Supreme floor board, it look so aweful now after 3 good years.

Hi all,

Just to ask for some comments which laminate floor would you all choose.

Pergo, Vohringer or Supreme.

Which is better. I'm looking for a laminate floor that would not give me problem for at least 10 years.

So far my research is that Pergo has the best warranty cover.

Any comment welcome.

TIA.

agree..

kronotex 12mm is really very attractive.. the salesman qoute me around 7.9 with alot of freebies in the package. Almost signed up but my wife hold me back cause she don't see a need for 12mm at home and mine is only 3rm flat.

So went for 8mm ac4 ones.. really good and very good worksmanship as i look at how they did the whole day. They actually gave me worksmanship warranty which includes perfect joining that ease me when i mop the floor. Salesman very friendly also.. his name is derek, now we still keep in contact to go bike roundings.. try look for him and ask for qoute, afterwhich say you are introduced by BEN. maybe you get a better package. haha
