This seems to work, though I wouldn't say that it's entirely modern in style. I also think that that's a real fireplace, but you get the idea don't you?

i dun think a fireplace suits de theme of modern contemporary. so if u r going for modern contemporary, why go for a fake fireplace? dey dun go together
