Hitachi Washing Machine

Recommended Posts

Oh dear :(

Few days ago, my washer started to produce 'ta ta ta ta' sound when it turns to the right when washing or spinning :(

And we did not send out the guarantee card within 7 days of purchase!

Wonder if the warranty is still valid?

My hubby was angry & said that we shd have bought LG instead!

you can do online registration http://onlinewarranty.hitachiconsumer.com/default.aspx

As long as you had the receipt, I think the warranty still valid.

Is your washing machine place in level. look at the yellow circle. Is the round fall inside the centre circle.

I see a bubble? it's at the side of the red circle.

There's another smaller circle in the middle of the red circle.

But it doesn't move.

The bubble seems to be "bouncing" or "movable".

So that's the problem?

I remember when I read the manual. It mention the bubble must be within the smaller circle. Or else the washing machine tub might sth wrong.

I don't remember the detail and don't have the manual with me now.

You go home and check the manual.

U should have the rubber stand. Use that to alight your washing machine.

When the guys come down and install the WM, they didn't level your WM?

Do online registration. save the stamp :D

hee... hee paiseh hor, I was the one who started this thread back in 5 Mar 2010 and now I still haven't decided which brand of washing machine to buy. Heng ah I din get Hitachi after so many of you all say got the "kong kong" noise. Now it seems I am down to 2 brands that I am shortlisting - Toshiba AW-D980SS & Panasonic NA-FS90X. Wondering which one is better? Anyone used any of these 2 washing machines before? : )

The Hitachi's serviceman came.

Apparently the motor blade was spoilt - a very rare problem, according to him.

I asked 'bt the yellow circle to which he said it's actually quite 'useless' cos it's not accurate,

since the tub is always swinging around & not exactly in the centre.

We're still under the warranty so it's FOC.

Poor therat...

Have you tried using concentrated bleach to remove it?

Has it hardened? If it's too hard, may have to use scraper first, follow by thinner (for removing paint). Please use glove to protect your hand, cloth to slowly soak up the thinner, and apply cloth to that residue on washer.

At home, I use nail polish remover and thinner on residues and stains when bleach fails.

Oh yah, what detergent are you using?

My recent headache was seeing a crackline appearing on my kitchen ceiling (spalling concrete) yest.

Yeah! it is hardened. Don't think can use thinner as it stick on the plastic part.

My fault. This morning wash my blanket, bedsheet, etc. Use the blanket program.

The manual did mention use dilute liquid detergent.

Do not use powdered detergent which is difficult to dissolve in water.

I'm using powder all along for FUZZY course.

So.. I thought should not be a problem for Blanket course.

Haha.. who know.. this will happen.

The manual should wrote "MUST NOT USE" mah

sigh!
