Hitachi Washing Machine

Recommended Posts

Seriously, noone will go read and remember every line on the manual. I didn't know about this until you posted about it. Hitachi should consider sticking a warning message beside the Blanket button.

How about using boiling hot water to soften and dissolve it? I know hot water can disolve detergent residue well.

I use liquid detergent. My tenants use powder detergent. Luckily they use Fuzzy mode. I ever tried blanket mode with concentrated liquid detergent, it was ok.

I used Spin powder (3/4 to 1 big cup for full load) and had no problem with water & soapy foam spilling out from the pipe-end.

But recently, I switched to yellow Top powder (after reading in RT that it's great for indoor drying).

Many times, for the same load as b4, i used 3/4 to 1 full scoop (provided by Top) and soapy foam & water will spill from the pipe-end :(

Oh yes, I wash my blankets & bedsheets using Fuzzy mode.

I used 4 detergents before I got to find one that can effectively eliminate the strong perspire smell on my hubby's clothes. I also hang and dry all clothes indoor as my area rains daily. My detergent - UIC concentrated liquid detergent

I kiapo went to check on the brands of my tenants' detergents in the kitchen :P 1 of them also used TOP powder like you but no foam popping out from my pipe leh.

Boiling hot water.. I scare later the plastic melt. My head even more bigger

i think I will live with it as long as it don't dirty my washing.

I guess no more Blanket mode for me until I finish my existing power.

Yeah! it is hardened. Don't think can use thinner as it stick on the plastic part.

My fault. This morning wash my blanket, bedsheet, etc. Use the blanket program.

The manual did mention use dilute liquid detergent.

Do not use powdered detergent which is difficult to dissolve in water.

I'm using powder all along for FUZZY course.

So.. I thought should not be a problem for Blanket course.

Haha.. who know.. this will happen.

The manual should wrote "MUST NOT USE" mah

sigh!

wow, we really learn from others' mistakes!

updated on my story.

Last sat, after post on RT after that happen on the WM. I also drop Hitachi CS an email.

The following monday, Hitachi CS drop me a reply email and say will sent a service guy come down to a look. At the same time, I receive a call from them. Arrange for a service on the next day but as no one at home. I suggest on coming sat which is today 12noon - 2 pm.

Est 10am plus, a uncle call, ask am I at home. Can he come out early.

I reply, sure.

30-60 min later, a uncle shown up with a brand new plastic cover.

He ask.. is it washing blanket.. I reply ya

Base on what he say.. seem like quite a number of ppl facing this.

I ask him what cause it.

He say.. blanket scratches it while spin or overload also might cause it.

I also ask him, will the machine give warning if overload. He say.. no.. it does not come this feature.

It might give F9 if too heavy

The uncle change a new plastic cover with no question ask.

Hitachi after sale service very good and fast. I would say

yes, very skinny and quite old, but very friendly.

Your W/M still under warranty?

If not, then Hitachi's after-sales' service is :good:

I didn't contact the service centre in the end because I had identified the root cause of the water pool. If I do not load the washing machine full with clothes, there's no water pool forming haha. :P
