What Is An Indicative Cost For Such A Project

Recommended Posts

Hi guys, am at the exploratory stage to determine if it makes sense to extend the 2nd storey of a 2 storey corner terrace house. Currently the ground floor is already extended to the max allowed under an A&A work done 20 yrs back. What will be an indicative cost to extend the room behind to the max and ensuite it. looking at a 150sq area more of extension. ANy input will be appreciated!

You can get an architect to advise you on the cost. There are certain fees such as submission fees to the authorities, professional fees, survey fee, etc... that one cannot avoid paying. I think the incremental cost on materials and construction should not be too high. I heard that a recently completed A&A work that add a room and a bath behind the house, increase the kitchen space below, change the roof (ie because the works affected the roof) and improve the front facade of the house cost the owner $150K about two years ago. Better to get a more firm figure from the architect.
