Hi ARCHer,

DIY will be cheaper. I did mine starting from seeds and getting the instructions from the Internet and after confirming with a neighbourhood nursery man.

Would I recommend to you? Yes, if you have the patience and can afford the time to wait for the grass seedlings to grow. 'cos you don't get instant lawn. As for controlling the weeds, it is not a problem if you follow the instructions.

What do I get out of it? I can choose the type of grass that I like. I also enjoyed watching those seedlings growing day by day. Initially, they are very soft and smooth...but as the years go by, they become rougher and now they are not as good to walk upon.

But don't plant it during this very wet rainy season.
