What We Can Look Out For Before Purchasing A House?

Recommended Posts

Good day everyone,

I like to share a little of my humble Fengshui knowledge here…

A set of simple tips you can DIY

What we can look out for before purchasing a house?

Before we purchase a house,we should do some research on the house and it environment.

Golden rule: Always Look out for the environment around the house and the people in the house.

Below are a set of tip on what should take note of:

Environment:

• Look out for virtual mountain(buildings) and virtual waters(Roads).

• Sharps corners and edges of a structure (Shar chi) pointing into your house.

• Amenities and industries around the areas.

House:

• Look out for the people in the house.

• The location of the toilets, kitchen ,Bedrooms in the house.

• The chi in the house.(How you feel when you step into the house).

Hope you guys like it.

Looking for good contractors? Click here for your request

A good thread, hope to add some, more on "controllable" environmental issues.

- Existing and potential future noises

- Sunlight direction

- Surrounding buildings blockage, therefore airflow, potential future buildings

- Traffice entrance/out going

- Ren qi(human traffic), overall. Too quite/too much/noisy no good.

- Humidity, air quality

- Avoid "front", always "sit behind" to oversee

- 4 heavenly animals formation

- Building structure, formaton......

To me, "house audit" to negligible is "macro" is done properly.

Does anyone believe in the significance of waterways?

I heard that waterway in front of your house (flowing towards your home) is good, but not at the back of your home, coz that would mean money flowing away. I wondered how this would apply to HDB, asked a friend and was told that the front of the block would be where the main block number is stuck on, and not where your front door faces.

And having a pond of water in your house is good only if you put it at the back of your home (to keep the wealth in the house).

@bepgof

Great to hear that,thanks :P

@blue_skies

Yes it play a significance part in landscape and interior Fengshui.

For HDB case, it may not affect you directly. The back and the facing maybe differ for HDB.

The use of water feature have to be careful.

Regards,

4 heavenly animals suggests:

1. Spacious front,

2. Left with mountain/building, taller than the one on right

3. Back with mountain/bushes, wall, etc. Never have pond, cliff, drainage, etc

See those chinese grave tombs in CCK, will understand the concept of the 4 heavenly animals.

Of course financially sound is no1, but not the point of discussion in the thread.

In my opinion, get a Fengshui Master to audit ba, their 'luo pan' tells everything... :)

Luo Pan is nothing more than a permanent magnet (of superior magnetism, made of Neodymium-Iron-Boron) with south needle painted red. Built with "rings" - those rings are actually "cross reference tables". Maximum is 33 rings, so far. Each ring has its functions, eg, 0-360 deg, 10 heaven & 12 earth branch, 24 jieqi,.....

1. Steel structures built within buidings disturb and distores earth's natural magnetic lines, thus Luo Pan get erroreous readings. Mountains with vast iron affect reading too.

2. Power cable with huge current (whether AC or DC) passsing through affect the readings too.

3. Sun's black spot activity affect Earth's magnetic flux too, so does LuoPan.

4. Earth's N & S poles are called earth's magnetic poles, this pole has a 6 degree(If I remember correctly this figure)tilt with earth's rotational axis. Meaning that all permanent mangnets indicate ONLY the MAGNETIC POLEs but not TRUE POLEs.

Only Gyroscope or Gyrocompass is able to indicate the true poles, and this instrument is nowadays installed in marine application for navigation. Its readings are not affected by external factors. FSMs should bring this and take picture leh :D

So, what makes luopan great are those "cross reference tables", not the permanent magnet itself.

I would adopt contingency approach = it depends....

Condo's swimming pool: Always a "selling" point

- Watch out for noise, especially children during festive seasons, sat/sun/Ph

- Sunlight reflection at certain angle.

- Humidity for long term

Reservoir/Sea:

- Sunlight reflection

- Salt content

- North West Wind breeze

Beside FS,we need to look out for them too!!! .We can't be facing the sun always if the FSM say facing East is the most lucky position. :D

One thing I've noted. Why do the FS books place so much emphasis on South to the extent I have to flip the book 180 degrees so that South points downwards like it is supposed to. Note: In most fengshui books, South points upwards.

Given the ancient wisdom of the Chinese, shouldn't they have spotted or rectified these before passing down the formulae?

Could it have been missed out during the handing down or was it negligible in the first place?

Food for thought.
