various bronze look fittings if you are after the English look like me

Leather Sofa from Commune is the cheapest nice one you can get in my opinion. Commune stuff is good and affordable if it suits your taste

Crate and barrel has nice bar cabinets but everything else there is a reap

If you are after a neutral palette like me (white, wood, light grey) then Muji will work very well too. Just need to dot the house with lots of piece de resistance, i splurged on a few pieces that cost a bomb but can follow me 20-30 years whichever house i go. Built-in stuff keep to minimal/zero to make sure house can be flexible to change for kids/for sale if i relocate back to Japan

Just bought this as well.

Fingers crossed it all turns out well!

So far beside table and lamp were the best buys!!

Photo frames are dirt cheap from China - just know your sizes for 5R and 6R correctly - double check!

Baby stuff from UK and USA is the best at 70% off

Big Alzipmat Baby mat (colour folder series) from Korea if you want high quality but you got to cart it back like a hero with giggles from the airline check in stuff

Mega discount store is your best bet for some good appliances.

Hope all this helps everyone!

Remember the chair i bought is the Ya Ma type - Looks rougher but wears better and quite comfy. Just that it's weaved design (not very fine weave) is like a salt and pepper mini schaunzer rather than a clean color

For service yard, At first was told had the keep the beam at risk of damaging the pipes but glad they could took everything out in the end.

At least it feels now the $500 for the PE was worth it? Was doubting PE was even needed but got the letter from HDB saying so, therefore "no horse run"

Hi! Could I check how you managed to get them to hack the walls beside the pipes? I am thinking of doing the same as well, any advice?

Thank you

City Gas MA-1210FER review (part 1)

MA_12_FER_with_remote.jpg

Tested it and very pleased with the results. Glad we listened to a fellow neighbour to buy this higher end model......especially since it's just $100 more and that WE HAVE A BATHTUB for the bath fill function. Got $50 petrol voucher (promotion over by now) and $20 NTUC voucher too!

It took 13 seconds to feel some heat from the water and 16-18 seconds to get to the correct 40 degrees temperature I wanted. Water pressure awesome! This is the same for all taps (good feature for gas heaters - No need for multiple heaters - 1 heater warms everything up!)

This is vs. instant heaters I have been using ---- 4 seconds to feel some heat and 11 seconds to get to desired temperature. Water pressure blah...

and storage heater bills are much higher I can guarantee that.

Coupled with the fact we can control or disable temperature digitally with a remote in the bathrooms - WOW!

No pictures as it's a big mess sorting out the renovation in a rush for move-in next Wednesday.

Hope all goes well!

where did you buy gas heater, how much of installation by city gas?

OOps. just happened to see all the messages as have not logged in for a while:

Pipsqueak>> TV console is from Danish Design located in Pasir Pangjang. It will match well with a Dyson Fan and the B&O A9 Play

Applegoh>> City Gas sells it. Just google information for the heaters online (they may upgrade the models every year and head down to their office at 1st floor Triple 111 Somerset

Benjamin90lim>> If it is a key pillar or sorts, Need your contractor or ID to work with a certified engineer to apply with HDB to do it. Extra $500 just for certification but hacking should not cost too much, ask them throw it in with other hacks.

Track lights from Lightcraft .  Some lights from the other more expensive shop down the road but more reliable. Consult between both for pricing and recommendations and make sure your electrician is informed on whether it is H shaped track or just an N as the shape is necessary to hide the wiring? Both shops will tell you different things for sure.   I since upgraded with some lights and Bulbs can get from Taiwan vintage shop in furniture street and some cheap vintage bulbs from Bali Legian shopping area. There is also the pricey LED bulb you can get from TANGS but worth every bit
