quarkz 2 Report post Posted March 17, 2022 Hi, my relative is getting her house renovated. Her ID told her to get a licensed electrician to do the electrical work. We checked around and it seems that some electricians we checked are licensed, while some are not. it seems that there a 3 types of licences - electrician, electrical technician and electrical engineer. I only found a related post here: https://www.renotalk.com/forum/topic/282-electrical-work-cost/page/16/?tab=comments#comment-580595 but that was 10 yrs+ ago. So has things changed? How impt is it to get a licensed one vs an unlicensed one? Will insurance be affected? Thanks!
