Installing a central heating system or a boiler is one of the most lucrative home improvements in the UK. Research shows that a central heating system, new boiler and energy-saving features will add value to your home.

However, the expense of adding new flooring, a bathroom remodel, or a kitchen might outweigh the added value to your home. These tasks may increase the property's value, but the expense of the work will usually eliminate the possibility of making a profit.

Research shows that only 26% of home improvements will increase a property's value. Many homeowners could lose their home if they choose to concentrate on the wrong projects.

The research shows that the most profitable renovations are those that include a new boiler, central heating, or double glazing. These energy-saving measures add up to 4% value to your home. Contrary to this, solar panels actually decrease the value of your home by 2%.

Energy-saving features such as double glazing or efficient boilers will provide an immediate return on investment.

Central heating and new boilers are a sure way to increase your property's value. Buyers can also rest assured that the boiler will be covered under warranty. If they have home boiler cover with annual boiler inspections, they can extend this warranty for a longer period.

Energy bills that are lower

Due to their high efficiency, a new condensing boiler A rating will have low running costs. A new owner will feel safe knowing that their heating bills are as low as they can be. With oil and gas prices rising, the potential savings could be substantial. According to your home's size, the Energy Saving Trust estimates that you could save as much as £580* annually by replacing an old G-rated boiler.

Peace of Mind

A quality manufacturer will often offer a 5-, 7- or 10-year warranty on a new boiler. The warranty ensures that the homeowner of the home won't be charged for unexpected repairs if the boiler needs to be repaired. A boiler that could fail at any moment is an issue to be worried about when buying a house.

Convenience and luxury

Many modern boilers can be connected to smart thermostats. They can also be controlled remotely from a smartphone or tablet using an app. An internet connection allows the new owner to remotely monitor and control his heating system from anywhere in the world. They can either turn the heating on as soon as they get home to warm the house, or delay the automatic timer to the office to save energy.

Smart thermostats

A thermostat can tell you how much energy your household uses so that you can find ways to lower your bills. Smart TRVs (Thermostatic Radiator Valve) can also be installed to adjust the temperature in each room to turn your radiators off. Perhaps they prefer a cool bedroom or a warmer bathroom. This type of convenience and luxury can be the cherry on top.

There are many ways to increase the house's value

A new boiler isn't the only way to increase your home's value when you sell it. These are just a few of the other upgrades, renovations and improvements you should consider.

Energy Savings Measures to Improve

You can reduce your energy bills by improving insulation and installing high-efficiency, triple or double-glazed windows. Even if you don't plan to install a new boiler in your home, a smart thermostat can be a great way to reduce your energy bills. It will give you accurate energy consumption readings and allow you to control the temperature.

What is the cost of a new boiler? Overview:

A variety of factors affect the cost of a boiler repair.

  • Replacement cost of a boiler, e.g. The boiler model that you would like to install.

  • Types of boiler e.g. system, or combi.

  • To move your boiler.

  • And extras e.g. Smart Controls and Filters.

A simple combi swap is however the most popular and often the least expensive.

What is the cost of a standalone boiler?

A new boiler can cost between £600 and £2,500 depending on its model and the type. A new combi boiler will cost you between £600 and £900 for a budget model, £900 to £1,200 for a mid-range model, and £1,000 to £2,000 for a high-end model. This is dependent on the size of your boiler.

A new boiler system costs £600-£900 for a budget model; £900-£1,300 for a mid range model and £1,300-£2,500 for a premium one.

The labor required to install a boiler will affect the cost. This will depend on where you live and what business you have, the time it takes to install the boiler, and how many engineers are needed.

The average cost of installing a new boiler is between £500 to £1,000 depending on the type of installation.

A combi swap can be completed in one day, and is faster than a back boiler conversion which may take up to 2 days.

Heating costs are usually included in the final price. If you purchase your boiler through a good boiler company, you won't need to worry about adding additional costs or calculating an exact figure.

What is the Cost of a Central Heating System?

Central heating costs for a home can range from around £2,250 for small bungalows with two bedrooms to as high as about £4,500 for larger homes with five bedrooms. It's important to remember that prices in London and other parts of England are likely to be higher than the average.

It will depend on how large your property is, how many radiators you need to fit and whether your home has a single- or multi-storey structure. The price and time involved will vary greatly.

Here's an example of how to calculate the cost of installation for a four-bedroom, two-story home. It will require 10 radiators and a 33kw Boiler.

  • New condensing boiler, including supply and labor - £1,250 - £1,850

  • Nine radiators, including supply and labor - £1,100

  • Installation and supply of water tanks - £200

  • Other parts and labour-related extras - £265

  • Supply and installation of pipework - £865

This project totals around £4,000. The exact amount depends on where you live and what type of boiler you choose.
