Shower at the Perfect TemperatureHome Appliances & Tech

Showering can get tricky, not least when the sun’s been bearing down for a while and your water heater can’t stop overheating the water. It’s as annoying as it sounds, and you’d be forgiven for wanting to declare war on your water heater for trying to scald you. After all, what’s a water heater that can’t actually give you a shower at the temperature that you like at exactly the time you want it? Fortunately, Ariston’s new Constant Temperature technology means you no longer have to be at the mercy of the weather.
Why is your water heater often overheating the water?
A traditional instant water heater is built to heat water at fixed power levels, meaning it doesn’t take into account the varying temperatures of the water that’s flowing in or its amount before heating it. If you’re looking to bring water at room temperature to an appropriate warmness, a traditional instant water heater is perfectly serviceable. But it continues to heat water that’s already boiled in the sun on a sunny day with the same full power, producing unpleasantly warm water.
In another example, when someone else in your household is showering at the same time as you, the water flow rate gets splits between the two heaters, resulting in a reduced amount of water flowing into your heater. A traditional instant water heater ignores this and continues to heat the water at full power, producing extra hot water that may even scald you. There’s no denying that water produced by a traditional instant water heater is frequently too hot and uncomfortable.
What can you do to ensure a more consistent temperature?

Of course, you can always fiddle with the temperature knobs on your water heater to bargain for the perfect ‘doneness’ for your shower. But you’d struggle to find perfection in a traditional instant water heater.
Ariston’s new Constant Temperature technology in the AURES Series solves these inconveniences. Packed with sensors that measure not just the temperature of the water that’s flowing in but also the flow rate of the incoming water, these state-of-the-art instant water heaters are able to automatically adjust the power of the heating to ensure that the water flowing out is constantly at the same pre-set temperature.
Hence, for example, water that’s already very warm might not be heated at all. Likewise, if there’s less water flowing into the heater due to two or more users showering at the same time, less power will be used to heat the water. This means you can enjoy a shower that’s tuned to the most comfortable temperature no matter the weather or the simultaneous use of multiple water sources under the same roof. Moreover, with less energy used to heat the water, you get to save on your utility bills!
In addition, the Aures Luxury range can store up to three user profiles, so each family member can set his or her desired temperature and not have to touch the controls each time he or she showers.
The Constant Temperature technology is also designed to prevent scalding. If the temperature of the incoming water is detected to be higher than that of your pre-set temperature, the water heater will not only stop heating the water but also flash a warning icon to notify you – great if you have babies, young children or the elderly with you.
