tomorrow i'm expecting delivery of the kitchen stuff. bought the $1,999 package from Courts, extended warranty for 5 years and got a $200 voucher for paying by OCBC credit card instalment. hob: i moved away from stainless steel which i have been using for past 6 years because it's such a nightmare to clean and i cook quite a lot. hopefully the glass surface will be easier to clean. plus cannot clean right after cooking cos hot so gives me a good excuse to clean after my meal. oven: i've always used ariston so switching to electrolux this time. because ariston don't have glass hobs. looking forward to baking cakes, cookies, roasting chicken and maybe even turkey this year! hood. due to the open kitchen concept, need to get a chimney hood with 1000cm3 suction power. at my current house we used a slimline hood and the smell lingers always. i'm always cooking sambal or something with belachan so need this. for deep frying i use my trusty Philips air fryer.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I also think Blum drawers are more expensive too. I was thinking to change too since I was quoted and I have paid for them. But finally probably not because of several reasons: 1. The current drawers may fit the theme of the house better. The look of the wooden drawers is more consistent with the cabinet style compared to metal Blum ones. 2. I don't like to see things being wasted. These drawers have been fabricated. Would be a waste for them to throw these away and make new ones using Blum side panels. 3. My uncle is a contractor specializing in carpentry work and my mum once mentioned they incur losses sometimes when home owners are not happy with what they fabricated and they have to fabricate again. So I feel for the carpenters too. 4. Mr K said he didn't earn much from my project, wouldn't want to make him incur losses. So I think I will live with them.

I used Joven as well. Heats up within 5 minutes, and heated water can remained warm up to 10-12 hours, even without switching on again. Just my personal experience..
